Norway Spruce Fast growth to 75 or 80 feet in height. Spread 35 to 40 feet. Dense, dark green needles never get longer than 1 inch. Thrives well in average soil conditions, but prefers moisture in the soil to maintain its deep green color. Highly valued ornamental and timber tree. One of the best conifers for shelters and windbreaks, as its branches grow densely into one another. Colorado Blue Spruce Grows to 100 feet. Stiff, silvery-blue to green needles are 1 inch long. Handsome ornamental specimen in single planting or dense, colorful screen or windbreak, space 6 feet apart. Scotch Pine It has a blue-green color and produces beautiful uniformly dense trees. Excellent needle retention, and will grow on a wide variety of soils. Generally reaches feet in height and feet in width. White Spruce Very hardy, compact tree with short blue-green needles. Fast rate of growth for Christmas trees, ornamentals and windbreaks. Tolerates wide variety of soils. The white spruce grows to a height of 40 60' and a spread of 10 20' at maturity. White Pine Soft blue-green needles 3-5" long. Fast growth with excellent needle retention. Desirable for Christmas trees, ornamentals, and reforestation. The eastern white pine grows to a height of 50 80' and a spread of 20 40' at maturity. Douglas Fir Excellent demand as a Christmas tree or an ornamental. Extremely fast growth, superb needle retention and soft, 1" blue-green needles make Douglas the favorite tree for many growers. Prefers fertile, welldrained, light soil with full sun. The Douglasfir grows to a height of 40 70' and a spread of 12 20' at maturity.
Austrian Pine Beautiful dark green, long-needled Christmas, ornamental and windbreak tree. Extremely hardy plant tolerates poor soils, dry soils and air pollution. Generally reaches feet in height and feet in width. Albion Strawberries Very large fruit, excellent flavor. Everbearing. Red Raspberries Everbearing - Excellent fruit, good flavor, sweet taste and high yielding Ripens in June and again early September. Consort Black Currant Vigorous Black, very productive, ripens midseason. (zone 3-7). Height up to 5 feet - width up to 5 feet. Red Lake Currant Produces clusters of large, sweet red berries in July. Vigorous, cold hardy, self pollinating. Makes delicious jelly. (zone 3-7) Height from 3-5 feet; spread from 3-5 feet. Jersey Supreme Asparagus Large stalk, sweet, very productive.
Blue Crop Blueberries The blueberry begins to ripen about July 15th. The bush is hardy and productive, and the berries are medium -large, firm, bright blue and features excellent picking scar. Duke Blueberries Its height is about 4 to 6 feet and its yield is consistently high. The fruit size is medium and is high-quality and firm. Patriot Blueberries The Patriot ranges from 4 to 6 feet in height with a consistent yield ranging from 10 to 20 pounds of fruit. It ripens about July 5th, producing tight clusters of fruit that is large and firm with small, dry recesses scars. Jersey Blueberries Fruit size is large at 60 berries per cup or 1.99 grams per berry and the quality of the fruit is very good. Berries are also firm with a dark blue color, and picking scars are small. Elderberry Large, spreading, multi-stemmed shrub with large, flattopped white flowers in June - July followed by purple-black berries. Can be used for jellies, pies and wine. Excellent for attracting birds, and will grow in wet areas. Grows in any type of soil and is very hardy.
Lynwood Gold Forsythia Very fast, upright growth to 7 feet; spread of 5 feet. One of the best plants for fast flowering screen. Deep golden flowers, early spring, more thickly and evenly distributed along the stems than other Forsythia. Ordinary to poor soil. Plant in full sun. Can withstand adverse city conditions. This plant can easily be pruned, after blooming, to maintain desired height and will bloom better next year. Honeylocust - Grows to 100 feet. Fine textured leaves. Grows well in any type of soil. A superb tree for withstanding city conditions. This tree is tolerant of roadway salt. A small percentage may have thorns. Very popular as a shade tree because leaves are so fine. They break up as they drop in the fall, thus eliminating leaf raking. Serviceberry Shrubs or small trees to 13 feet high. White flowers in April and May, Fruit purplish-black. White Dogwood An excellent landscape choice for all four seasons, the White Dogwood is a favorite in many yards and gardens. White flowers show their beauty in spring, foliage turns a vibrant red-purple in fall and glossy red fruits attract winter songbirds for the enjoyment of all. Height up to 25 feet and spread up to 25 feet. Purple Lilac This common lilac cultivar is an upright, deciduous shrub which grows 8-15 tall. Deep purple to wine red, sweetly fragrant, single flowers with white edges cover this shrub in late April to early May. Excellent fresh cut flower. Winterberry Holly Height and spread 6 to 12 feet. Female plants produce bright red berries in profusion in early fall while leaves are still green and remain until mid winter after leaf drop. Late fall foliage color is yellow. Likes acid soil. Will tolerate wet, swampy conditions. Native to northeastern United States. We cannot distinguish between male and female plants; plant at least 5 to ensure pollination. Very good shrub as a screen or background. Attracts winter song birds.
Dappled Willow Height and spread reach 3 to 5 feet. Its main attraction is the tri-color leaves of white, green and pink. We advise periodic trimming to maintain leaf variegation. Tolerates wet conditions. Leaf color stays better in full sun. Red Oak Fast growth 60 to 70 feet with equal spread. Its dense, lustrous green foliage turns a deep red in the fall. Grows best in sandy to rich loamy soil in full sun. It transplants easily, withstands city conditions, is clean in habit and makes one of the best street or avenue trees we have. Red oak is tolerant of urban conditions; i.e., salt, ozone and sulphur dioxide. Native to eastern to mid United States. Very valuable as a timber tree. Sugar Maple Height 60 to 75 feet. Spread 45 to 50 feet. Mature trees provide sugar products from sap in the spring. Brilliant yellow, burnt orange and limited red tones in autumn. A good timber tree. Does not do well in wet areas or in small compact restricted growing areas. Stanley Plum A fine prune-type plum with excellent quality suited for both home use and processing. Fruit is large in size with dark blue skin. Flesh is greenish-yellow, juicy and fine-grained. The tree is early bearing and a good pollenizer for other European varieties. Queen Rosa Plum A USDA release ripening five to seven days after Santa Rosa. Fruit is similar to Santa Rosa, a dark red-purple plum with red flesh. Queen Rosa has been more productive than Santa Rosa under eastern conditions. Harvest late June. Semi-dwarf: in height and width.
Redhaven Peach Tree is vigorous, very bud-hardy and productive. Fruit is medium-sized and colors to a brilliant red. Harvest mid-late August. Semi-dwarf: in height and Reliance Peach Well known for its cold hardiness, this variety is ideal for northern climates where peaches are not typically grown. The fruit is mediumsized, freestone, with a dull blush over greenish-yellow background. Good for canning and freezing. Harrow Sweet Pear- A late-season pear, AC Harrow Sweet ripens approximately three weeks after Bartlett. This variety has shown very good resistance to fire blight. The fruit size and appearance are similar to that of Bartlett; however, AC Harrow Sweet does develop an attractive blush. Trees should be thinned to maintain fruit size and avoid biennial bearing. Potomac Pear The fruit is moderate in size, averaging 2.5 inches. The flesh texture is moderately fine and buttery. The flavor is pleasingly sub-acid with a mild aroma and is similar to Beurre D Anjou in character. The tree is moderately vigorous and resistant to fire blight. Fantasia Nectarine Fantasia is an excellent quality, yellow-fleshed, freestone nectarine. Fruit is large, nearly full red, with a smooth glossy finish. Trees are vigorous, hardy and very productive. Growth up to 10 feet in height and spread. Dapple Dandy Pluot A cross between a plum and apricot. The fruit is large, with a dark purple color overlaid on a light purple background color. Dapple Dandy has firm, dark red flesh when fully mature, with exceptional dessert quality. The tree is open, spreading and very vigorous. Semi dwarf: in height and Spring Satin Plumcot Spring Satin is a plum x apricot hybrid. The fruit matures in early July, making this our earliest plum selection. The finish is purple, flesh is yellow-red at full maturity, and the flavor is outstanding. Spring Satin trees are resistant to some of the major plum diseases, including bacterial spot and bacterial canker. Semidwarf: in height and width.
Nova Spy Apple Fruit has a sweet, pleasant flavor, making it very good for fresh eating. It bakes well and is a good keeper. This variety has shown good resistance to apple scab. Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years. Pioneer Mac Flesh is white and firmer than many McIntosh strains. Pioneer Mac has shown resistance to late-season drop on mature trees. Considered a non-spur, the tree exhibits semi-spur flower bud formation, with some fruiting on one-year-old wood. Tree is less vigorous and more spreading than other McIntosh strains. Pioneer Mac will pollinate both Marshall McIntosh and Rogers Red McIntosh. Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years. Golden Delicious Fruit is firm, medium to large with the classic Golden Delicious flavor. The tree is spreading, productive and easy to manage. Fruit thinning is required to maintain annual bearing. Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years. Brookfield Gala The fruit of Brookfield Gala is considered one of the best in the industry for the prominent stripe. Originating in New Zealand, this Gala sport is widely planted in the United States and consistently produces fruit of excellent color and overall fruit quality. Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years. Albermarle Pippin Apple- The fruit is greenish-yellow, medium to large with excellent fruit quality. Albemarle Pippin matures in early October and will keep in cold storage for six months. Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years. Lodi Apple Lodi produces heavy crops of large-sized fruit for the early season and matures four to seven days later than Yellow Transparent. Trees are vigorous with a spreading growth habit Semi-dwarf, growing feet tall and producing fruit within 4-5 years.
Horseradish Likes rich composted, well drained soil. Plant roots on a slight angle 4-6 inches deep and 12 to 18 inches apart. Water frequently. Dig up plants when the leaves have died back either in the fall or in the spring Honeybee Forage Mix A pasture mix for honey bees composed of clovers and sweetclovers. Native Pollinator Mix The native wildflowers and grasses in this mix provide an attractive display of color from spring to fall. Designed for mesic to upland sites and full sun to lightly shaded areas. This mix will attract a variety of pollinators and songbirds.
