1 PRESS RELEASE For immediate release Vansh Launches New Menu for 12 th Year Anniversary Singapore, January 2013 Since its inception in 2001 at Stadium Waterfront, a charming shore side dining enclave in Singapore, Vansh has picked up many awards and accolades, living up to the fine standards that the Rang Mahal Group is known for. With more than a decade of serving authentic traditional Indian cuisine with contemporary presentations, Vansh celebrates her 12th year anniversary with the launch of a brand new menu, featuring favourite classics and innovative creations. Inspired by the vibrant streets of India in various cities, the menu takes on a repertoire of famous street foods with a refreshing twist. The essence and story of any major city of the world can be said to be found in its street food. The culture of India is brilliantly captured with the exquisite selection of both vegetarian and nonvegetarian kebabs, chaats, biryanis and curries from the northern, southern and coastal regions. Adapted from a staple fast street food in Mumbai, the Classic Mumbai Frankie is a tangy spicy roll stuffed with potatoes and onion, sprinkled with chaat masala. The team of chefs at Vansh further tweaked the traditional Frankie recipe by coming up with a healthier Chicken Frankie - a tantalising wrap with succulent chicken chunks tossed with spring onion, tomatoes and fresh cilantro cooked in less oil. 2 Vansh Launches New Menu for 12 th Year Anniversary / 2 The city of Delhi is showcased with the Famous Raj Kochori, a familiar sight to the young and old along the western streets of India. This popular snack is prepared à la minute with fine flour mixed with spiced lentils, Indian fennel and crushed coriander, served with sweetened yoghurt and chutneys. Another Delhi speciality is the Dahi Ke Kebab, a dish that has seen many interpretations since its Mughul days. The original recipe is being upheld in Vansh, with the kebab made with hung curd and coated with spices. Keeping with tradition is part of Vansh s mantra, as with bringing original dishes on the table. The Black Olive & Sun-dried Tomatoes Kulzza is Vansh s adaptation of the Italian pizza many are accustomed to. Taking the flavours of the Mediterranean, the Kulzza features fresh fluffy bread topped with Greek black olives, fresh garlic and tomatoes that are sun-dried to perfection. Lovers of Indian cuisine and who want to foray into vegetarian food can indulge in Vansh s mock meat offerings. Diners can sample the Mock Mutton Bhuna Gosht a delicious curry of soya chunks, spiced with Indian herbs and a homemade oniontomato masala. These dishes share an intricate connection with the palates and memories of many who have grown up with, or visited India, bringing an immersion of nostalgia and fondness. With a refreshed menu, diners can experience the different facets of the colourful country through a feast full of tradition and modernity all at the same time. - END -
