The grapes are grown in Bouça vineyard, a distinctive ecological niche located in the upper part of Quinta do Ermízio, handharvested at ideal ripening and processed with minimum intervention to preserve the character of Alvarinho and the terroir. The vintage produced regular grapevine growth until the end of July. August was cool, especially at night, inducing slow berry ripening with high acidity and aromatic compounds. Early September was dry and warm allowing the grapes to complete ripening and to be harvest before de rain. Technology. A delicate bouquet combined with a soft and fresh palate developing fruit and mineral hints. Good structure and mouth feeling with a long a clean finish. To produce a unique wine in Vinho Verde region using selected ripe grapes processed with maximum rigour and minimum intervention so that the wine can express the terroir and the character of grape varieties. Leichter Wein für leichte Speisen Der Vinho Verde stammt aus der Region zwischen den Flüssen Douro und Minho im Norden s, die von Porto bis zur spanischen Grenze reicht und die das größte portugiesische Anbaugebiet für Qualitätsweine ist. During the winemaking the wine grape varieties are always respected in order to exalt all their flavor and aroma variety. The tanks and materials in contact with the wine are in stainless steel, ensuring the utmost care and hygiene throughout the production process. ELABORATION VARIETAL COMPOSITION Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca predominate among the traditional grape varieties of the Demarcated Region of the Douro Valley. Die Massen werden von pneumatischen Pressen gepresst und die malolaktische Fermentation ereignet sich in Fässern aus Französicher und Amerikanische Eiche, wo er 4/6 Monate altert. Geschmacknoten: Rubyfarben, sehr eleganter Wein mit roten Früchten und Vanillenoten im Geruch; im Mund ist er rund, leicht und ausgewogen. Bei 16 ºC servieren zur Begleitung von gegrillten Fleisch oder Ofenfisch. Winemaker: Diogo Campilho/Pedro Pinhão Quinta da lagoalva de cima Alfrocheiro Rebsorte: Alfrocheiro. Vinifikation: Die auf kleinen Lagen angebauten, ausgewählten Trauben werden von Hand in Kisten verlesen und noch morgens in die Weinkellerei gebracht. Nach drei Tagen Mazeration vor Gärung, erfolgt die alkoholische Gärung in Edelstahlbehältern bei 24ºC. Die Maische wird hydraulisch gekeltert und die malolaktische Gärung findet in neuen oder ein Jahr alten Fässern aus französischer Eiche statt. In ihnen gärt der Wein zehn bis zwölf Monate. Degustationsnotiz: Dieser Wein wird nur in außergewöhnlichen Jahren bereitet. Er ist von granatroter Farbe, hat ein elegantes Aroma und an der Nase Noten von Schokolade und Tabak. Am Gaumen ist er konzentriert, tief und anhaltend mit eleganten Tanninen. Bei 16 bis 18ºC zu Ofengerichten, Wildspezialitäten und gereiftem Käse servieren. 56 Porto 1965 Single Harvest Port Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman S.A. Taylors extensive cask aged reserves include a collection of very rare and valuable Single Harvest Ports. Not to be confused with Vintage Ports, which age in bottle, Single Harvest Ports are wines of a single year which have been aged in seasoned oak casks. They display the date of the harvest on the label. These wonderfully mellow, complex wines have been aged to full maturity and are ready to drink when bottled. Every year, Taylors makes a limited release of a Single Harvest Port made 50 years previously. These are the perfect wines with which to celebrate a 50th anniversary or birthday and are presented in attractive wooden gift boxes. The Taylors 1964 Single Harvest Port, released in 2014, is followed by the wonderfully fine and smooth Single Harvest 1965, with its seductive tawny colour, fine complex nose and smooth silky palate. Taylors will make further releases of 50 year old Single Harvest Ports in the coming years. 20 Year Old Tawny Taylors is one of the most highly respected producers of aged tawny Port wines. 20 Year Old Tawny Port is fully matured in seasoned oak casks each holding about 630 litres of wine. Here, over many years of ageing, the Port wine gradually takes on its characteristic amber tawny colour, slowly developing the complex mellow flavours and the smooth luscious palate which are the hallmarks of this style of port. Taylors blends its magnificent 20 year old tawny Ports from its extensive reserves of old cask aged Ports matured in the firms cool and tranquil cellars (known as lodges) in Oporto on s Atlantic coast. In the 20 Year Old tawny, the fruit has mellowed further than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy, nutty aromas of ageing are more powerful and intense. The most popular 20 Year Old Aged Tawny Port in the United States of America. These Port wines are bottled when ready to drink and do not require any further ageing in bottle. Serving Suggestions: It is an excellent accompaniment to many desserts. It combines well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It is an excellent compliment for a crème brulée or a plate of wild strawberries. It may also be appreciated on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit, and can be served cool in the summer. Classic Vintage Taylors Vintage Port is one of the worlds great iconic wines. Made only in the very finest years known as declared vintages Vintage Ports are blended from the best produce of the firms own estates of Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and more recently, Quinta do Junco. After each harvest, the tasting panel selects the finest Port wines from the three properties and these are then left to age for two winters in oak vats. In their second Spring, they are tasted again. If they are judged to be of exceptional quality, the Port wines of the three estates are blended together, Vargellas bringing structure, elegance and complexity to the wine and Terra Feita and Junco body, depth and powerful, concentrated fruit. At this stage it must be decided whether a Vintage Port is to be declared. For a declaration to be made, the Vintage Port blend must be of outstanding quality: austere in its youth, with tremendous depth of flavour and massive structure, capable of evolving over years, or decades into that quintessence of great Port, a mature Taylors Vintage. Historically Taylors has only declared about three Vintage years per decade. Taylors Vintage Ports are renowned for their massive structure and aromatic power, tempered by a characteristic understatement and restraint.
