While his well-documented wins on the golf course have assured his place in golf history, off the course Greg s passion and enthusiasm for wine and his zest and dedication for living well have combined to create a stunning collection of high-quality wines from some of his favorite parts of the world. ARGENTINA Greg Norman s Malbec-2012 $13.00 The 2012 Greg Norman Estates Malbec is a deep, crimson color with seamless purple hues. The aromas are incredibly inviting with bright notes of ripe plum, blackberry and spice which lead to a juicy palate where the nose rings true. The intense fruit flavors mingle with notes of vanilla, clove spice and subtle violet candy. The wine is powerful yet smooth with well integrated tannins and good overall balance. The long finish is pleasing with the typical Malbec grapey flavor lingering. Winemaker s Notes CALIFORNIA Greg Norman Estates California Cabernet Sauvignon-2012 The Greg Norman Estates Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful crimson color. The wine offers inviting aromas of fresh, ripe boysenberry, blackberry and plum. Secondary aromas of brown spice and fragrant vanilla add a layer of complexity. The full-bodied wine has flavors of juicy berries, clove and a slight candied violet note. This wine is balanced with smooth tannins that are well integrated. Rated 89 Points-Wine Spectator Greg Norman Estates California Estates Pinot Noir-2013 Bright aromas of fresh strawberry, cherry pie and subtle cinnamon spice notes. The wine is light and flavorful on the palate with balanced, refreshing acidity. This is an elegant style of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and incredibly food friendly. South Carolina Wine Director-Doug Werner Foley Johnson Estate Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 Green s Cash Price: $54.99 $65.00 The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers greater richness and breadth of flavor than its two siblings. The color is a healthy dark ruby/purple and the wine reveals notes of creme de cassis, vanillin and licorice. It builds incrementally on the palate. Elegant, with good substance, medium to full body, sweet tannins and an accessible style, it should evolve for up to a decade. Rated 90 Points-The Wine Advocate Spring Valley Nina Lee Syrah 2011 Green s Cash Price: $39.99 $51.00 Bright red-ruby. Vibrant aromas of blackberry, licorice, mint, violet and black pepper. Densely packed and intense, with noteworthy tension and lift and exotic high notes of fruity peppercorn and orange zest to the black raspberry, blackberry and licorice flavors. It s rich and exotic. Full body with gorgeous fruit and a long, long finish. So much going on here. I love to drink it already. Beringer Quantum Red Blend 2012 Green s Cash Price: $37.99 $44.00 Beringer s 2012 Red Blend Quantum is gorgeous. Silky, nuanced and expressive, the Quantum captures plenty of vintage 2012 radiance. This is a full bodied style of warm climate Merlot with a round, supple finish. We added Wahluke Slope Syrah to enhance the mouth-feel and rich fruit character. I call this my pasta wine! Winemaker s Notes La Braccesca Achelo Syrah Cortona 2012 $19.00 The wine is an intense purple color and the nose expresses white fruit fused with pepper and tobacco. On the palate, it is full and supple, recalling flavors of white peaches, plums and blackberries. The fruit is balanced with tobacco and spice and has a complex, lingering finish. A knockout wine; you ll have a hard time putting the glass back down. It has wild berry aromas and flavors that feel pure and focused, and is soft and almost sweet in terms of mouthfeel. An essence of blackberry lingers on the finish. RATED 90 POINTS-WINE ENTHUSIAST Greg Norman Estates Limestone Coast Shiraz 2012 Dark and focused, offering blackberry, floral and black tea flavors, with crushed rock aromas informing the firm finish. RATED 90 POINTS-WINE SPECTATOR Leese-Fitch Pinot Noir 2013 $11.00 Tar, leather, blackberry and basil: that s a complex start for a value-driven Pinot Noir, but this one has stepped up its game. Smoky blackcurrant, cherry and violet aromas show very good clarity and zesty mineral lift. Juicy and focused on the palate, with the bitter cherry and dark berry flavors becoming sweeter with air. Smoothly combines power and finesse, finishing with strong punch, sneaky tannins and lingering berry and floral qualities. Delivers outstanding value, especially for a difficult vintage. RATED 90 POINTS-STEPHEN TANZER S INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLAR Bogle Petite Sirah 2013-California $12.00 Visually stunning, this opaque and inky wine shows its weight even in first glance at the glass. A bouquet of brambled berries and juniper overwhelms the first impression, leading into volumes of blackberries and blueberry fruits. Full-bodied and ripe, the dark fruits marry well during 10 months of American oak aging and couple with baking spices like vanilla and nutmeg to be reminiscent of Grandmas blackberry jam. Rich and muscular tannins round out the wine, allowing it to be enjoyed now by many, or cellared for enjoyment to come. RATED 91 POINTS-WINE ENTHUSIAST Evodia Garnacha Altovinum 2014-Spain Green s Cash Price: $7.99 $9.00 This is really an amazing wine for the price Deep ruby/plum purple, with loads of blueberry and black currant fruit, underlying crushed rock notes and some floral scents are all present in this remarkable wine that sells at a full retail markup of $10.00, which is simply incredible! These are the kind of wines I wish had existed when I was in college. RATED 90 POINTS-STEPHEN TANZER S INTERNATIONAL WINE CELLAR Tilia Cabernet Sauvignon 2013-Argentina Green s Cash Price: $7.99 $9.00 a serious, clean and focused nose with perfectly ripened fruit, berries and cherries plus a hint of spices and a notable absence of green notes, perhaps a hint of mint that adds freshness. 8 Tilia Malbec 2014-Argentina Green s Cash Price: $7.99 $9.00 There are some herbal aromas (think raspberry leaf), bright cherries and flowers, even lilies. The palate is very tasty, with some subtle bitter flavors, fine tannins and very good acidity. This is a triumph over the vintage. Bravo! This should be readily available, as they produced 500,000 bottles of it. And it s one of the best values in Argentina too! RATED 90 POINTS-ROBERT PARKER S WINE ADVOCATE WHITE WINES: Charles Smith Kung Fu Girl Riesling 2014 $14.00 Always delicious, as well as an insane value, the 2014 Riesling Kung Fu Girl offers lots of exotic citrus, lychee and minty notes in a medium-bodied, delicious, vibrant profile on the palate. Downright gulpable, yet with plenty of classic Riesling flair, buy this beauty by the case and drink it over the coming year or so. RATED 90 POINTS-ROBERT PARKER S WINE ADVOCATE Chateau Ste. Michelle Horse Heaven Sauvignon Blanc 2014 Pale straw-yellow. Lemon drop, grapefruit and underripe pineapple on the brisk nose. Slightly metallic in its juiciness, but showing a tactile texture and intriguing salinity to its citrus, spice and subtle leesy flavors. From fruit picked early with energy, according to winemaker Raymon McKee. Seriously vibrant Sauvignon Blanc. RATED 91 POINTS- VINOUS / ANTONIO GALLONI Terra D Oro Pinot Grigio California Entices with a nose of ripe, bright pear and clover blossom. Rich and dense, the mouth oozes with juicy pear and stone fruit flavors, finishing with an elegant touch of toasted French oak. RATED 90 POINTS-WINE ENTHUSIAST Dry Creek Vineyard Wilson Ranch Dry Chenin Blanc 2014 $11.00 This California classic is still a winner, offering great flavor and refreshment in a dry, un-oaked style. It smells like crisp Granny Smith apples, tastes like white peach and has a nervy acidity that will wash down appetizers and seafood with aplomb. RATED 90 POINTS-WINE ENTHUSIAST (TOP 100 BEST BUYS 2015) Noble Vines 446 Monterey Chardonnay 2013 $11.00 Aromas of lightly roasted and salted peanuts, Golden Delicious apples and toasted bread introduce this wine. There s spring-water clarity to the flavors, the texture given contour by a mineral tinge. Buy it by the case for summer sipping. RATED 90 POINTS-WINE & SPIRITS Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling 2014 $11.00 Soft and sweet, offering a satiny texture and generous flavors of creamy pear and spice. Finishes with a lilt of citrus, showing richness and depth. RATED 90 POINTS WINE SPECTATOR MAN Vintners Free-run Steen Chenin Blanc 2014-South Africa The 2014 Free-Run Steen Chenin Blanc has a focused, clinical bouquet with pineapple and lemon zest, hints of passion fruit developing just behind. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity: plenty of tropical fruit on display here but neatly delineated on the tense and citric finish that lingers in the mouth. Quite simply, this represents unbeatable value. Its coastal freshness will match shrimp with asparagus.
