2 The beginning It all started in 2012 with the purchase of 200 acres of premium vineyards in the region Sakar, proven to be one of the most famous wine regions in Bulgaria. Alexandra Estate s vineyards in Oreshets, Harmanli were in the first fruiting year when they attracted the attention of the experts. Their proximity to the 100 years old oak forest and the location in the foothills of the Eastern Rhodopes contribute more for their selection.

3 Our credo What distinguishes Alexandra Estate in the cultivation of vines are the principles of organic and biodynamic farming.

4 Grape varieties The exposure of the vineyards is north. This allows the grapes to retain good acids even in this region with normally hot climate. Varieties included in the estate s wines are: Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Marsanne, Roussanne, Semillon and Viognier.

5 Expansion In 2013, Alexandra Estate is expanding with another 100 acres of vineyards in the village Rakitnitsa, Stara Zagora Located 300 meters above sea level and their carbonate soils contribute to the excellent quality of grapes planted on them. Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Semillon will produce its first fruit in 2016.

6 What we produce In 2014 Alexandra Estate produced a total of 30,000 bottles of wine: white, rosé and red. Soon the construction of a winery in the village Rakitnitsa will begin and it will produce up to 60,000 bottles. The second winery of Alexandra Estate with larger production capability, located in Oreshets village is at a design stage.

7 Vinification French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 l and 300 l are used for the vinification. All wines, except Alexandra Sauvignion Blanc 2013, are fermented and matured in barrels, and even the Rosé is partially fermented in French oak.

8 Our people Proven professionals work for Alexandra Estate: the cultivation of the vines is entrusted to Atanas Shiderov and Eric Moro. Alexander Velyanov and Thierry Haberer take care for the wine making and the creation of blends.

11 Alexandra Reserve Vintage 2011 Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc & Syrah Rich and brilliant purplish color. Impressive nose, filled with concentrated aromas of red fruit, tobacco, leather and spice, exquisitely weaved French oak. The taste is rich, powerful and elegant. Memorable, long aftertaste.

12 Alexandra Rose Mourvèdre & Grenache Vintage 2013 With its wonderful fresh graypink color, this is an aromatic harmony of the varieties Mourvedre and Grenache. The taste is in wonderful balance. With natural acidity, in harmony with the oak nuances. If you chill it down ice - cold, you can drink it from midday to midnight.

13 Alexandra Chardonnay Vintage 2013 This Chardonnay with bright, light - yellow color with beautiful green tints, offers floral notes in the nose and tempting fruit flavors. Beautiful structure, spherical! This wine gives lovely freshness with notes of nuts and honey.

14 Alexandra Sauvignon Blanc Vintage 2013 This elegant wine with herbaceous style and minerality offers complex aromas of grapefruit, nettle and flavors of a freshly cut grass. It is silky and seductive, with a superior balance acidity. If you chill it down ice - cold, you can drink it from midday to midnight..

15 Alexandra Vermentino Vintage 2013 Our Vermentino has a citrusy freshness and colorful acidity, combined with exquisite flavor density, fruitiness and a bitter almond finish. Combines extremely well with traditional Italian and Mediterranean food. If you chill it down ice - cold, you can drink it from midday to midnight.

16 Alexandra Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay Barrel Fermented Vintage 2013 Pale golden, limpid color with greenish hues. The nose is delicate and juicy with ripe tropical fruits, could observe and sweet red grapefruit. Juicy, finely and tight body with soft acids and lovely finish.

17 Alexandra Chardonnay Barrel Fermented Vintage 2013 Beautiful golden-green color with gloss. Elegant nose succulent with tropical fruits, vanilla cream and wet limestone. Volumetric and a powerful body with excellent, ripe fruit, juicy and simultaneous freshly-spicy finish.

18 Alexandra Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon & Petit Verdot Vintage 2013 Dense, dark garnet red color. Attractive nose with hints of ripe black berries, caramel, roasted pepper and sweet spices. Molten, round and soft body, velvet tannins and long finish, which remains a memory of sweet spices and raisins in rum. Fits perfectly with mature, rich cheeses, roasted or stewed bushmeat and with dried sausages, prosciutto, jamon.

19 Alexandra Mourvèdre & Syrah & Viognier Vintage 2013 Intense garnet color. The nose is fine and perfumed with notes of exotic flowers and roses, cocoa and berries. Full body with ripe, velvet tannins, juicy fruit, wrapped in dark chocolate and a long finish. Wonderful combination with turkey and bush meat.

20 Alexandra Purple Red Merlot Vintage 2013 Our Merlot possesses deep, crimson color with garnet gleams. A very good combination of plum flavors, black forest fruits, eucalyptus and oak. The soft tannins, combined with the well balanced fruit acids, concentrated fruit and suit vanilla aromas, contribute to the nice and long aftertaste.

21 Alexandra Purple Red Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2013 The wine possesses deep, crimson color with garnet gleams. A very good combination of plum flavors and black forest fruits. The powerful tannins and sweet oak in the combination of pepper tinges and savory spices form the round body of the wine, the excellent balance and the pleasant and remembering final.
