2 HISTORY The origins of Château Ducluzeau go back to the end of the XVIIth century. The Château was owned by Mr Ducluzeau. He sold it in 1870 to a wine-grower of Moulis, Mr Astien. He himself married Miss Hugon from Listrac. At her death, she left the estate to her daughter, Marie-Louise, wife of Mr André Rochette. When Marie-Louise died in 1976, the estate returned to Mrs Monique Rochette Borie. She was born and educated at Château Ducluzeau. Today, her son, MR BRUNO-EUGÈNE BORIE, manages the estate. Château Ducluzeau is often considered as a feminine wine, even if the Listrac are usually of a robust structure. This is mainly due to the balance of grape varieties used, mainly Merlot, particularly suited for the terroir and to the great experience of wine making by the Borie family over many years at the head of some of the most famous wines of Medoc. We often associate it with the femininity. To put it simply, Ducluzeau generates its ELEGANCE through its grape varieties, its traditionnal viticultural techniques and its modern vinification methods.

4 TECHNICAL PRESENTATION Le Château Ducluzeau is located in the appellation of. The 10 HECTARES of Château Ducluzeau are divided on differnte plots which are lolcated in the village of Listrac, at around 40 m. above the sea level. The soil and subsoil are composed of gravel with slight chalky siliceaous. Aged on average of 45 years the vineyardsis composed of Black Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon Density of plants / ha. Alcoholic fermentation is managed at relatively low temperatures (between 26 and 28 ) to optimise the fruity aromas of the wine. Pumping-over is gentle to avoid extracting too many tannins and obtain a pleasant fattiness. Malolactic fermentation of the free run wine and the press-wine (pneumatic pressing) takes place in vats for optimal control. The wine is barrelled in Bordeaux barrels (225L, French oak) immediately after blend selectionµ with10 to 20% new barrels according to the vintage.

6 2011 Quality: (great) Colour: beautiful, rich ruby red Nose: elegant bouquet, fruity with spicy notes Palate: well structured, round and elegant tannins. Long beautiful finish. Characteristicsof the vintage Weather: 2011 weather was chaotic with one of the driest winters of the last decade. By early summer we were three weeks in advance. However, with the summer s mediocre weather this unexpected advance was lost. Harvest: Picking of merlot began on September 15th and ended on September 30th. Picking of cabernet-sauvignon started on September 22th. Blendingof vintage % Merlot & 2% Cabernet Sauvignon

7 2011 AWARDS Argent Aquitaine Robert Parker 84: Owned by Bruno Borie s mother, Madame Jean-Eugene Borie, this Merlot-based Listrac is a solidly made effort revealing subtly herbaceous notes intermingled with black cherry fruit. This spicy, medium-bodied wine transcends the vintage conditions in Listrac where ripeness was difficult to achieve. Wine Spec. 87 : Lightly firm, with a plum pit frame around the core of steeped currant and bitter cherry fruit, all laced with a lively savory edge through the finish. A pretty wine with subtle length. Drink now through ,000 cases made. JM

9 2012 Quality: (good) / (great) Color: beautiful dark ruby color Nose: red berries with a hint of refined spices Palate: with 89% Merlot, a very seductive wine. Round and very elegant. Characteristicsof the vintage Weather: a very cold, dry winter, a humid and fresh spring, with here and there spikes of heat the 2012 vintage started with mixed weather, which later until mid- July; until bunch-closure in fact. The fine, hot and sunny days of august and those vital ones of September together with a certain amount of summer drought, allowed the grapes to attain fine concentration of sugar. At the end of the cycle rain allowed the grapes to continue to ripen. A period of considerable differences in temperature (hot days, fresh nights) helped to increase the aromatic intensity. 12 2013 Quality: (good) Color: purple Nose: a mix of red fruits (dark cherries) underscored with spicy notes Palate: very enticing ensemble. Good persistence. Characteristicsof the vintage Weather: Capricious weather; a long, wet winter. A summer under high surveillance. This crop, fragile since the flowering, led us to redouble our efforts in the vineyard all along the campaign to the final drastic sorting.. Harvest: picking began on September 30th and ended on October 6th Blendingof vintage % Merlot 25% Cabernet-Sauvignon

13 2013 AWARDS Score: 87 This wine has structure, with firm tannins and black-currant fruit. That contrasts with a stalky, almost rustic character that gives dry, rough edges to the wine. Drink from 2018,

15 2014 AWARDS JAMES SUCKLING 91 POINTS Aromas of shaved chocolate and berries. Medium to full body, velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Solid. Drink in Wine Enthusiast The latest acquisition from the Borie family of Ducru- Beaucaillouin Saint-Julien, this wine has such a smooth texture soft and gently fruity, with black currant flavors give impressive ripeness. It will age quickly. Andrew Caillard 91Deep colour. Elderberry, blackberry fruit, sweet fruit flavours, fine looseknit chalky tannins. WINE SPECTATOR 88 POINTS Ripe and direct, with a good beam of raspberry and plum fruit, laced with a twinge of anise. A singed apple wood edge and ever-so-slightly dusty tannins line the finish. Drink now through 2022.

17 2015 AWARDS Score: 89 CHÂTEAU DUCLUZEAU 2015 There is a good balance between fine tannins and tight acidity in this black currant-dominated wine. It is fresh, bright and has a crisp texture. Score: CHÂTEAU DUCLUZEAU 2015 A savory and salty wine with blackberry and blueberry. Medium to full body. Slightly chewy tannins. Score: 87 CHÂTEAU DUCLUZEAU 2015 Very good open and lifted fruit; a deliciously forward wine Score: 16/20 CHÂTEAU DUCLUZEAU 2015 Estate belonging to Bruno Borie's mother. 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Made as 'Saturday lunch wine' - very fruity. Sweet and fruity on the nose. Though quite a bit of acidity on the palate. Easy peasy. Score: 89 CHÂTEAU DUCLUZEAU 2015 Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Elegant fruit reminiscent of blackcurrants and blackberries. On the palate well structured with mature tannins, fine spiciness and good length.
