1 Bolgheri DOC Mosaico Appellation: BOLGHERI DOC Blend: 60% Merlot - 30% Cabernet franc - 10% Petit Verdot Vineyard age (year of planting): Merlot 2003, Cabernet franc 2003, Petit Verdot 2003,2011 Soil Type: clayey, tending to be deep, with layers of gravel that ensure a perfect drainage Colour: Deep ruby red Nose: typical notes of cassis and ripe red fruit enhanced by notes of cinnamon, coffee and tobacco that contribute to its great elegance and aromatic complexity Flavour: Juicy, supple with smooth tannins Match with: Grilled red meat, game, seasoned cheese, or simply enjoyed on its own Average no. bottles/year: 25,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 6 Notes: Vine training system: cordon spur. Vineyard density: 5,600 vines/hectare. Mosaico is a Merlot based wine: the powerfulness and roundness of this variety meets the complexity of Cabernet Franc and the character of Petit Verdot. As in a mosaic from afar the picture is clear, but closer up the three varieties of the blend show their identity in steel tanks at 26/28 degrees Celsius. Sponaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for al least 12 months in French oak barrels of second and third use. Finishing in the bottle for 6 months. Bottling without fining nor filtration in order to preserve the integrity of the wine.

2 Bolgheri DOC Moreccio Appellation: BOLGHERI DOC Blend: 50% Cabernet sauvignon - 40% Merlot - 10% Syrah Vineyard age (year of planting): Cabernet sauvignon 2002, Merlot 2002, Syrah 2002,2011 Soil Type: Sandy-clayey with presence of pebbles Colour: intense ruby red Nose: red fruit, vanilla, spices Flavour: smooth and silky tannins together with a gentle acidity make this wine intense, rich and extremely drinkable Match with: tasty recipes of the Tuscan tradition, pasta and rice dishes with meat sauces, stews and braised meat, medium seasoned cheese Average no. bottles/year: 120,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 85 Notes: Moreccio is the name of Porcino mushrooms in this area. This was the first wine that was made at Casa di Terra and has always been a blend of the typical grape varieties of Bolgheri. Vine training systems: cordon spur and guyot. Vineyard density: 6,500-5,500 vines/hectare in stainless steel vats at degrees Celsius for 20 days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for at least 6 months in French oak barriques of third and fourth use. Finishing in the bottle for at least 6 months.

3 Vermentino IGT Toscana Terre di Lavinia Appellation: TOSCANA IGT Zone: Tuscan coast, Bolgheri and Cecina (province of Livorno) Blend: 100% Vermentino Vineyard age (year of planting): Vermentino 2002,2013 Soil Type: sandy-clayey, skeletal Exposure: south, south-west Colour: Straw yellow with slight golden reflections Nose: Acacia and white flowers, stone fruit and white pepper Flavour: Gentle, lightly structured, sapid and persistent with an overall sensation of freshness Serving temperature ( C): Match with: fish hors d oeuvres, rice and pasta dishes with fish and vegetables, fish and white meat dishes Average no. bottles/year: 40,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 9 Notes: This wine is named after Lavinia, daughter of Giuliano Frollani owner of the estate. Vine training system: guyot and cordon spur. Vineyard density: 5,600 vines/hectare Vinification and ageing: 60% of the grapes are pressend and then fermented in steel tanks at 16 degrees Celsius for 15 days. 40% of the blend is fermented with the skins for 15 days. The wine then matures for 5 months in stainless steel tanks on the lees.

4 Toscana Rosso IGT Lenaia Appellation: TOSCANA ROSSO IGT Zone: Tuscan coast: Cecina and Bolgheri (province of Livorno) Blend: 50% Merlot - 25% Cabernet franc - 25% Malbec Vineyard age (year of planting): Merlot 2002, Cabernet franc 2002, Malbec 2002,2013 Soil Type: sandy-clayey, clayey, skeletal Exposure: south-west Colour: intense ruby red Nose: fresh red fruit, hints of spices and pleasant floral notes Flavour: Succulent, round with supple and pleasant tannins which lead to a mineral and fresh finish Serving temperature ( C): Match with: wine suitable for the whole meal, pasta and rice dishes with meat sauce, grilled meat, braised meat, medium seasoned cheese Average no. bottles/year: 50,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: 9 Notes: The wine is named after the ancient Greek wine festival in the honour of Dionysos, god of wine. Finishing in the bottle for at least 3 months. Bottling without filtration nor clarification in order to preserve its natural integrity.

5 Vermentino Bolgheri DOC Appellation: BOLGHERI VERMENTINO DOC Blend: 85% Vermentino - 15% Sauvignon Blanc Vineyard age (year of planting): Vermentino - Sauvignon Blanc 2004,2013 Soil Type: sandy-clayey, skeletal Altitude: n/a Colour: Straw yellow with light golden reflections Nose: white flowers, citrus flowers, white pepper, intense and complex Flavour: Fresh, sapid, fat in the mouth, mineral, well balanced Serving temperature ( C): n/a Match with: As an aperitif, fish dishes, shellfish, seafood in general Average no. bottles/year: 25,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: n/a Notes: Two harvests are carried out: the first one is early in order to ensure freshness. Then the vines are deleafed and the rest of the grapes are picked. Vine training system: cordon spur and guyot. Vineyard density: 5,600 vines/hectare Vinification and ageing: 60% of the blend is pressed and then fermented in steel tanks with temperature 16 C for 15 days. 40% of the blend is skin fermented for 15 days and stays on skins for 2 months. 6 Bolgheri Superiore DOC Maronea Appellation: BOLGHERI SUPERIORE DOC Blend: 85% Cabernet sauvignon - 15% Cabernet franc Vineyard age (year of planting): Cabernet sauvignon 2003, Cabernet franc 2003,2011 Soil Type: clayey-sandy, skeletal Exposure: est-west Colour: deep ruby red Nose: ripe, fruit, coffee, truffle Flavour: rich, powerful, elegant Match with: elaborate red meat dishes, game, seasoned cheese, enjoyed on its own ( meditation wine) Average no. bottles/year: 10,000 Grape yield per hectare tons: n/a Notes: Vine training system: cordon spur. This wine is made from five different vineyards so to express all the potential of the terroir of Bolgheri in steel tanks at degrees Celsius for 25 days with 12 days of maceration with the skin after fermentation. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak barriques of first and second use (medium-high toasting). Finishing in the bottle for 6 months. No filtration nor fining before bottling.

7 Bolgheri Superiore Casa di Terra Appellation: BOLGHERI SUPERIORE DOC Blend: 100% Cabernet franc Vineyard age (year of planting): Cabernet franc 2004,2005 Soil Type: ferrous clay soils with presence of sand Colour: deep ruby red Nose: Complex, intense, spices, leather, black fruit, smoke, graphite Flavour: Warm and enticing. Velvety tannins, supple, long finish Match with: elaborate red meat dishes, game, seasoned cheese, enjoyed on its own ( meditation wine) Average no. bottles/year: 0 Grape yield per hectare tons: 5.5 Notes: Vine training system: cordon spur. Vineyard density: 5,600 vines/hectare. Vinification and ageing: After 12 hours of cold maceration, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation for 25 days at degrees Celsius. The wine matures for 20 months in French oak barriques of a capacity of 225 liters (medium toast). 40% of the barriques are new, 40% are 2nd use and 40% are 3rd use. Finishing in the bottle for 18 months. No filtration nor clarification before bottling.
