Only for FIT During this guided walking tour of the city you will not only discover the history, art and culture of Parma but you ll have a particular focus on the famous typical products of this area so Parmigiano-Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Aceto Balsamico di Modena, just to mention the most known ones. You ll get a break with an expert guide in some of the traditional food shops where you ll taste all local products, discovering their legends and stories. 7 The city of BOLOGNA : the FOOD-FULL IMMERSION One Day Bologna Food Market Visit and Hands-On Italian Cooking Class at Local Family Home. Program: In the morning at 10 AM meeting in Bologna center for visit to the central food market where you ll have a deep explanation about the most important products of Emilia Romagna region, such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella di Bologna, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and many others. During the visit there will be a stop for a coffee or cappuccino and to a Gastronomy food shops for some tastings of local delicacies. The visit ends at around midday. Lunch on your own and free time until 4 PM. At 4 PM special hands-on cooking class based on a multi-courses menu with traditional recipes of Emilia Romagna. The lesson includes the preparation of hand-made egg pasta --traditional of the region-- from scratch and rolled with the rolling pin and other regional recipes. During the lesson you ll drink a wine aperitif with a tasting of some products of the region. The lesson is held in English and lasts 3 hours at least. 12 5 - Excursion OIL CHEESE AND WINE in IMPRUNETA and CHIANTI This excursion begins in the heart of the Tuscan oil kingdom - the hills around Impruneta, where we ll visit the Torrerossa oil farm. Here the olives are still collected by hand with the help of wood ladders leaning against the olive branches. Torrerossa still owns an old oil press, the oil is stored in antique enormous terracotta jars manufactured in Impruneta. On S.Casciano hills, in the Chianti DOCG production area, we found the Corzano e Paterno winery and cheese farm, specialized in the production of cheeses with traditional methods, using the milk from the farm's sheep. You will also taste their excellent wines. 15 SPECIAL PIZZA COOKING LESSONS all around Italy We can plan also PIZZA COOKING LESSONS with Experienced Pizzaioli Chiefs for groups of Students as well as for Adults. The Pizzaiolo/Chief will show how to prepare the mixture for a good Pizza, with the right ingredients and doses. The apprentices divided in little groups will begin to prepare the base of pizza and then to stuff it with all ingredients that they prefer. When it ready, the pizza will be cooked in oven for few minutes, and after they can taste what they personally cooked together with other delicacies.
