After being very successful in selling wines to consumer directly (B2C), the company decided to create a dedicated division, meeting the needs of restaurants, hotels and specialty stores (B2B), combining its efficient logistics chain with a well-established e-commerce platform. I am responsible for the entire B2B operation, from product management, marketing to the commercial operation of the business unit. Combined to a work-study contract at the cooperative winery Monsegur, courses and training were essential to acquire and strengthen the basic knowledge required to work and evolve in the wine industry.» MANAGEMENT GAIN MANAGERIAL, COMMERCIAL AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES IN THE WINE AND SPIRITS INDUSTRY: All the management topics covered are applied to wine and spirits specificities: Strategic marketing, Main trends in WS marketing, Sales and Negotiation, Economics, Corporate Finance, Law, Entrepreneurship, Strategic management, Human resource management. KNOWLEDGE OF WINE AND SPIRITS GAIN A GENUINE KNOWLEDGE OF WINE AND SPIRITS: 60 hours of training to obtain the world famous WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, with a specific path proposed by Bordeaux WINE CAMPUS, the Beginner to expert programme. An additional focus on spirits will be offered. MEET EXPERTS: Visit wine and spirits producers and negociants, attend seminars, travel in the main French or European wine producing regions. WINE & SPIRITS ACADEMY Taking part in different bodies of the wine & spirits sector, acting as a bridge of information and influence, the Wine & Spirits Academy is designed to train managers of the Wine & Spirits Industry but also to accompany the sector s changes by proposing decision-support schemes, and by setting up local and international projects for economic development. GETTING INVOLVED IN A WINE AND SPIRITS MANAGEMENT PROJECT There are 2 ways of being in direct contact with professional projects in the global wine and spirits industry: - The full time 6-month internship allows students to get involved in a long-term company project. - A research project -the thesis- has to be conducted during the school year, dealing with a concrete business issue to be studied and solved. STUDY TRIP IN THE VINEYARDS You will attend a one-week study trip, either in French wine producing regions or abroad. A PARTNERSHIP WITH RECOGNISED INSTITUTIONS -Bordeaux Wine Campus, WSET Approved Programme Provider in Bordeaux. The WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) delivers high level Awards in the field of Wine and Spirits knowledge. -The wine and spirits companies who welcome our interns all benefit from an international recognition. AN INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME All our courses are taught in English. The materials used in class (business simulations, case studies) cover issues from various wine and spirits producing or consuming countries.
