1 Mesa is the Ottoman Turkish word to describe the onset of evening. In Spanish, it is the word for table, while in Greek, ela mesa is an invitation to come on inside. Mesa Kitchen & Lounge is a fusion of all three, brought to you in a hospitable setting in North London. On the menu is a range of Turkish food cooked by our expert chef on a traditional charcoal grill, in addition to continental dishes and old favourites like burgers and steaks. These are immaculately prepared with the freshest ingredients and perfected with our homemade sauces all our own homemade recipe. The fully-stocked bar serves a selection of delicious cocktails and fine wines for you to sample, as well as other alcoholic and non-alcoholic staples. Your meal is served at a magnificent venue in Southgate. Pick a mesa inside and you can soak in the mix of Orientalist themes all around you with plenty of comfortable seating. Meanwhile, the outside is composed of an all-weather secret garden complete with its own serving bar where you can enjoy your meal and even smoke if you wish. Ela Mesa! Medium bodied with balanced acidity and a persistent finish. WAIPARA HILLS SAUVIGNON BLANC / New Zealand Bottle 27 Bursting with rich, ripe fruit. This wine has a wonderful mouthfeel and a bright refreshing finish. Match with fresh flavours such as a Summer salad filled with garden greens and slices of orange and fennel. CABALLERO DE LA CEPA CHARDONNAY / Argentina Bottle 30 The nose is fresh and fruity, with notes of ripe pineapple, melon and a hint of asparagus. On the palate, the wine is ripe and fresh, with a soft and persistent finish.

3 White Wine LANGLOIS CHATEAU MUSCADET SEVRE ET MAINE SUR LIE-France Bottle 33 Delicate aromas of stone and citrus fruit and a palate of everything you would want from a muscadet of this quality, fresh, fruity with a lasting finish. Bone dry with a salty tang on the finish. FERRER VIONTA ALBARINO / Spain Bottle 38 Complex fruit aromas, with green apple, kiwi and melon as stand outs giving way to a melange of ripe fruits but brought to a peak of peaches. Lees maceration has given it a body and structure with great personality. A long finish, highly aromatic with just a touch of bitterness a classic characteristic of the varietal. DOMAINE CHANSON LE BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY / France Bottle 44 Intense aromas of citrus fruit and green almond on a hint of minerality. Well-balanced and well-crafted. Very pure fruit. Well-shaped acidity. Tense and taut with a refreshing finish. LANGLOIS CHATEAU SANCERRE / France Bottle 49 Very aromatic nose, with white fruits and citrus fruits. On the palate, very good balance and freshness, highlighted by the aromatic side on citrus fruits. CHATEAU FAVRAY POUILLY FUME / France Bottle 50 Starting with an aromatic flowery / fruity bouquet and finishing with clean,crisp citrus style fruit, great length and limestone/minerally tones. LAROCHE CHABLIS 1ER CRU VAUDEVEY Bottle 57 Les Vaudevey are located in a cool and narrow valley. Sun appears in early morning and lasts until mid-afternoon. The ripening of grapes is slow, which helps aromas to concentrate and acidity to be kept. You can enjoy it by the glass, with oysters, seafood and smoked salmon. But it matches also Asian food and light cheese.

The palate is juicy and enveloping with elegant tannins and blackberry notes. Lush and well rounded with a touch of sweet spice cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla. TRIVENTO PRIVATE SELECTION MALBEC / Argentina Bottle 30 Having been aged in French oak barrels for 6 months, there are aromas of vanilla to compliment the plum and raspberry that are picked up on the nose. On the palate it is well balanced, exhibiting sweet tannins and a velvety finish. DOMAINE LAMBISQUE COTES DU RHONE / France Bottle 28 Made mainly from the Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Syrah grape varieties, are deep, fruity and well-balanced with a fresh hint of liquorice. Light ageing in oak adds a touch of complexity.

Ripe berry fruit flavours combine with savoury notes on the palate to produce a wine that is both elegant and approachable. COVILA GRAN RESERVA RIOJA / Spain Bottle 36 This is a traditional Gran Reserva Rioja. Very elegant and rounded, with fruity aromas well integrated with vanilla and cocoa from its oak ageing. On the palate it is full flavoured, silky and attractive, with a long smooth finish. KLEIN CONSTANTIA ESTATE RED / South Africa Bottle 39 Rich dark fruit on the nose with black cherries, mulberries and a hint of spice. Concentration of fruit on the palate rounded off with some grippy velvety tannins and a long finish. GABBIANO BELLEZZA CHIANTI GRAN SELEZIONE / Italy Bottle 42 The highest quality grapes selected in a single estate vineyard gives us this powerful Chianti Classico wine, authentic and elegant. The word Bellezza (Beauty) was familiarly used by the winery to refer to this vineyard for its beauty and special production, thus it became the vineyard nickname. DOMAINE CHANSON FLEURIE / France Bottle Refreshing aromas of red berries on a hint of pepper. Crisp and well-balanced, complex and concentrated. Refined tannins. Long and generous aftertaste with spicy nuances. LEGENDE PAUILLAC / France Bottle 56 A major appellation in the Médoc, Pauillac benefits from an exceptional terroir characterized by gravelly hilltops on a clay subsoil which ensures natural drainage and encourages the vines to develop deep roots: these are the perfect conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. FONTANAFREDDA BAROLO DI SERRALUNGA D ALBA / Italy Bottle 60 Classic dark tar and perfumed roses on the nose, light in colour but with great power, concentration and well balanced ripe tannins. Mellow nose of succulent ripe berry fruit with aromas of butterscotch, figs and prunes interwoven with attractive nutty and spicy aromas.
