2 Welcome to The Hare Wine Co. The Hare Wine Co. is one of Niagara-on-the-Lake s newest winery experiences, celebrating the region s historical bounty. Located on route to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, the rustic structure and ambiance of our space is perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions for groups up to 140 people. The Hare, a symbol of prosperity and good fortune... Our rustic winery and vineyard backdrop provide a beautiful setting for your special day. Located in the heart of Niagara Wine Country, our unique estate, award-winning wines and wonderful staff will blend together to create an unforgettable experience. 3 Venue The Hare Wine Co. is able to accommodate up to 140 guests. Our venue and hospitality fees are listed on the following page by desired space. Our venue fee includes: A private wine tasting 4 weeks prior to the wedding for the couple to choose which wines to serve at their wedding reception A Jack Rabbit White & Jack Rabbit Red wine tasting for each guest during cocktail hour 2 Hospitality staff members to help facilitate your special day Deposit Policy To reserve your wedding date and space, a deposit of 50% is due upon booking. The remainder of the venue fee will be required two weeks prior to the event. A statement of any final charges will be ed directly to the couple after the event has taken place. the hare wine co. wedding package 2

4 Space There are several room options available to accommodate your wedding ceremony and / or reception. Spaces and pricing are listed below. ROOM CAPACITY AVAILABILITY COST Barrel Cellar Seated: 100 Seated with tables: 50 Standing: 140 Available all year $1000 +hst Winery Seated: 140 Seated with tables: 140 Standing: 140 Available all year after 4pm, except the month of September $5000 +hst Tank Room & Barrel Cellar Seated: 140 Seated with tables: 140 Standing: 140 Available all year, except the month of October $4000 +hst *All availability and prices are subject to change Cancellation Policy We understand that cancellations may occur from time to time. Our required deposit, due upon booking, is non-refundable should the event be cancelled two weeks or less before the date of event. the hare wine co. wedding package 3

5 Alcohol WINE The Hare Wine Co. is one of Niagara s newest wineries producing premium VQA table wines and dessert wines. We require for any wedding a minimum of half a bottle of wine for each guest is purchased. Four weeks prior to the event the host and up to 4 guests may visit The Hare Wine Co. for a private tasting to select their wine for the event. Additional wine may be purchased during the event at retail price for consumption with a valid credit card on file. CORKAGE FEE Wine other than the Hare Wine Co. wine is permissible on site unless it is a style we do not produce (ex: Sparkling Wine). In this case, the host may supply the wine and can be opened at the event for a corkage fee of $20 per bottle of sparkling wine and $30 per bottle for table wines. LIQUOR If the event requires a bar package for beer and spirits this will be the responsibility of the event organizer and / or caterer. the hare wine co. wedding package 4

6 Fine Points The couple is responsible for obtaining an event SOP (Special Occasion Permit) for weddings. Please note that the SOP may take up to 3 weeks to obtain. Table rentals, chair rentals, linens, décor, entertainment & sound equipment will be responsibility of couple. Tables and chairs must have felt or scratch protecting pads on bottom to prevent damage to floors. Your wedding organizer must provide smart serve certified staff to bartend. We require a copy of the smart serve certificate of the server(s) prior to the event. Full payment of venue fee must be processed 2 weeks prior to the wedding. A separate credit form must be completed for additional wine purchases made during the event. The Hare Wine Co. is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Any damage to the building or missing wine & merchandise will be charged to the credit card on file. The Hare Wine Co. will remain open to the public during normal business hours unless otherwise agreed upon. All rentals, table decor, cars etc. must be stored in production area and removed from the property by 11am the day following the wedding. Open flames of any kind (including candle centerpieces) are not permitted. All guests must smoke only in the designated smoking areas. Amplified outdoor music is not permitted.
