Halcyon House is located just 15 minutes south of the Gold Coast Airport and 30 minutes north from Byron Bay in an extraordinary region that remains one of the country s best kept secrets. Acclaimed design, professional yet personal service and industry leading food and drink combine to offer the ideal setting for luxurious beach holidays, romantic getaways, corporate meetings, celebrations, and memorable weddings. Halcyon House consists of 19 rooms and 2 luxury 2-bedroom suites individually designed by Anna Spiro, a beachfront pool and terrace area, day spa and Paper Daisy, a destination restaurant headed by one of Australia s most promising chefs, Ben Devlin. 3 weddings at halcyon house With its idyllic beachfront location on majestic Cabarita Beach, Halcyon House is the ideal year round location for your ceremony, pre-dinner drinks and your wedding reception. We offer weddings on an exclusive use arrangement. We request that Halcyon House be booked out exclusively including the hotel and Paper Daisy Restaurant. Packages include private use of the property, the facilities and Paper Daisy Restaurant. Weekend weddings require a minimum two night booking. For smaller weddings we reccomend the Banksia room. For weddings upto 25 guests this space can be hired for a fee of $3000. ceremony packages Hold your ceremony on our front terrace or around our stunning pool or gardens. 30 chairs / Registry table / Audio for music if required / Wet weather backup halcyon house receptions Please discuss with the wedding co-ordinator for your desired table configuration. Please note a maximum of 90 guests can be seated for a sit down menu and a maximum of 120 guests for a cocktail style wedding.

9 INFORMATION TO NOTE wedding package inclusions Dedicated wedding coordinator to ensure your day runs smoothly Table set including placement of name cards, bonbonnieres and table decorations provided by you Seating plan Cake table and knife Audio Visual including microphone White table linen and napkins Additional styling will be at the expense of the bride and groom wedding timings and alcohol service Lunch wedding ceremony: from reception to finish by 5pm Dinner wedding ceremony: from 4pm reception to finish at 11pm Sunday wedding ceremony: from 3pm reception to finish at 10pm We operate under the guidelines and restrictions of the independent Liquor and gaming authority, as such we are bound by their timings and trading hours. Please note if guests are staying at Halcyon House and attending your wedding normal check-in times apply. weekend weddings Please note for all Saturday weddings we require a minimum of 50 people. room hire and accommodation For weddings of 25 people or less a room hire fee of $3000 applies For weddings of 50 guests or more, you are required to book all 21 rooms at the hotel. This includes accommodation for up to 50 guests and daily a la carte breakfast in Paper Daisy Restaurant. music and entertainment Musicians and DJ s are permitted however space is limited and dependent on your wedding party size. Please ask your wedding co-ordinator for further information. We operate within a residential area and therefore all music must be kept at a reasonable level. Music is allowed based on our opening and operating hours, see our wedding timings. Dance floor space will be dependent on your wedding group size. byo policy With events that wish to BYO cake full responsibility must be accepted by the patrons for any food allergies or food poisoning. Any remaining cake must be taken at the end of the event. BYO alcohol and beverages are not permitted.

10 INFORMATION TO NOTE menus Kids meals are $30 per person and you may choose from chicken, beef or fish served with chips and salad. These also include soft drink and dessert. Contractor meals can be provided at $50 per person. paper daisy - exclusive hire Our restaurant Paper Daisy can be booked out exclusively for a fee. Please ask the event manager for further information should you wish to book Paper Daisy for your wedding. menu tastings Upon confirmation of your wedding booking we are happy to provide a menu tasting to showcase the produce and menus available. beverage consumption Please enquire about our beverage on consumption if you wish not to have a package inclusion. Minimum spends please ask our event manager for further details. deposits Deposit; The booking is not considered confirmed until; a deposit is received or indicated as paid on your signed contract. A valid credit card authority is provided and a signed contract has been returned to your coordinator. Standard Events (booking more than 4 weeks prior to the event date) deposit schedule On signing of contract (within 7 days of date of contract) amount of deposit holding required 25% of expected spend 6 months from your event 50% of your expected spend 1 month from your event 75% of your expected spend FINAL PAYMENT by 10am Tuesday the week of your event Balance of expected spend = Total 100% prepayment Short Lead Events (when booking 4 weeks or less than the event date) payment schedule On signing of contract (within 7 days of date of contract) FINAL PAYMENT by 10am Tuesday the week of your event Post event amount to be paid 50% of your expected spend Balance of expected spend = Total 100% prepayment Any amount owing on your event will be charged automatically to the credit card on file

11 INFORMATION TO NOTE cancellations and postponing an event Cancellation; Notice of cancellation for a confirmed booking must be given in writing by the client and received by Halcyon. If notice of cancellation is given in writing prior to 365 days from the date of the event, the deposits shall be refunded. If notice of cancellation is given in writing within 3 months to 1 year from the function date and Halcyon does not secure a booking of a similar replacement function for that date, the client shall forfeit deposits paid (which sum is inclusive of GST). The following cancellation fees would be applicable and payable/ forfeited by the client if the event is canceled by the client: For the cancellation of short lead events booked within a 4 week period, then 50% deposit will not be refunded. time of cancellation More than 1 year to your event* Between 6 months to 1 year from your event* Between 1 to 6 months from your event Between 2 weeks to 1 month from your event Within 2 week from your event cancellation fee Not applicable (Full deposit amount refunded) Full deposit amount retained unless space is re-booked 30% of your expected spend 50% of your expected spend 75% of your expected spend Postponing an event; Subject to the cancellation clauses and Halcyon management s approval, the venue will review postponement and re-allocation of monies if the event is rescheduled with a new confirmed date.
