2 HISTORY Alto Los Romeros was the name given many years ago to the picturesque meadows of wild rosemary that grow on the peaks of the hills in Puquillay Alto, in the heart of Chile s Colchagua Valley. At a height of 700 meters, they offer stunning panoramic views across to the nearby Andes Mountains. It was here that our original estate vineyards were planted, and the inspiration for this line of premium wines, produced by the LFE Wine Group, was borne. The LFE Wine Group was founded in 1976, when a young visionary purchased a wine estate which was established in 1936 in what is now one of Chile s most prestigious wine growing regions, the Colchagua Valley. Over the years the estate expanded, modern wineries were built, and a solid viticulture and enology team was created, with a clear goal to produce premium high quality wines to show the world Chile s special terroir.

The grapes are carefully cultivated to enhance their fruit characteristics which give each variety a distinctive personality. These wines have been crafted to be fruit-forward, juicy and easy to drink. They are perfect for enjoying on their own or accompanied by all types of dishes. These fine wines are always included in our family s private cellars and reserved for special occasions. Our Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir come from Leyda Valley; the Chardonnay from Casablanca Valley, and our Roussanne from coastal Colchagua. The majority of red varietals in this range are from Colchagua Valley and are aged in French and American oak barrels for 8-12 months, depending on the varietal.
