1 Tastingbook.com gathered an astonishing 1,333,896 votes from over 620,000 wine lovers and professionals from 105 countries. A total of 22,588 wines received votes. Out of these 22,588 wines, only 180 wines received sufficient votes to advance to the final stage of judging. This is less than 1% of all wines entered. The 'Best Wines in the World' competition is not only the biggest wine competition in the world, but also the most difficult in which to advance OCEAN EIGHT PINOT NOIR FINALIST: THE BEST WINE OF THE WORLD 2017 Ocean Eight is the only Australian Pinot Noir and the only wine from Australia s new breed of young winemakers to make the final tasting. Grange, Hill of Grace, and Dead Arm Shiraz are amongst iconic labels up for final consideration in a bind tasting of the 180 finalists (45 red wines). It has been very pleasing over the past few years to be regarded with the best pinots produced on the Mornington Peninsula. We wait with anticipation to see how the wine compares with other Grand Crus Burgundy from Comte de Vogüé Musigny, Meo Camuzet Clos de Vougeot & Domaine Armand Rousseau Chambertin.
