2 THE ORIGINS OF THE PROJECT A variety of soils and a unique microclimate convinced us that inimitable wines can be produced in Lefkadia Valley. Despite the fact that the winemaking potential of this terroir has been known since the end of the 19 th century, our first vines appeared here in Nature has given us the perfect conditions for the production of high quality wines and a team of globally renowned specialists has started to uncover the potential of this terroir.

3 LEFKADIA VINEYARDS The Lefkadia vineyards are situated on the foothills of the North Caucasus Mountains and are separated from the sea by two mountain ranges. The local climate is considerably more continental than in coastal regions and diurnal temperature variations can be significant. All this favours the accumulation of sophisticated aromatic substances in our grapes and gives them a graceful acidity. Currently, the planted vineyard area in Lefkadia Valley is 210 Ha.

4 PRODUCTION The process of wine production starts with the acceptance of grapes collected by hand and carefully boxed and delivered directly in 5 minutes. Most berries are cooled in large refrigerating rooms to maintain their freshness and then manually selected to prepare only the best for a journey to Lefkadia wine.

5 LABORATORY Making a good wine is a complex process balancing between sophisticated art and precise science. As the first of its kind in Eastern Europe, Lefkadia s laboratory complex assures continuous quality controls for healthy vines and grapes. Now it is part of BIPEA, an international program for quality control of laboratory tests. Wine quality is supervised at all stages of production, from soil and vine testing up to final product manufacturing and packaging.

6 LEFKADIA TODAY Over the past ten years, the Lefkadia Valley brand has become well known in Russia and Europe. A small and family-owned winery has now evolved into a large-scale project. It continues to not only create highquality wines and produce ecofriendly products, but also to develop the conditions for eno and gastrotourism. And most importantly, it helps bring to life the dream of a good and sustainable quality of life.

7 WINES Everybody will pick up a wine to their liking from Lefkadia range: white and red wines, mono- and pluri-variety samples are created with a specific easily recognizable style and have absorbed all the peculiarities of the terroir. Both indigenous and international varieties of grapes grow beautifully in Lefkadia valley thanks to the variety of soils which enables winemakers to experiment and create inimitable masterpieces of Russian wine-making.

8 LEFKADIA RANGE OF PREMIUM DRY WINES We produce premium wines with grapes from our own vineyard under Lefkadia brand. Red and white wines of Lefkadia Reserve range as well as a range of original mono-variety wines. These wines are the face of our winery being exclusive wines from the best terroirs of the valley.

9 LEFKADIA BRAND LOGO The logo on the labels of Lefkadia range wines represents a mascaron divided into two parts. One part, the light one, depicts a handsome young man, god Dionysus, while the other, dark one, represents his drunken philosophy-loving friend, forest faun Silenus. These images reflect how wine can influence a man in a number of ways uncovering light or dark sides of their soul. This is what Greek philosophy of wine drinking consists in: if you drink wine responsibly you will rise to reach gods, but if you exaggerate you will fall down to the state of an animal.

10 LABEL CONCEPT We use labels with black and white prints for Lefkadia unblended wines. Indeed, these are pieces of Arcimboldo-style pictures. The picture is made of various scenes illustrating myths and legends of Ancient Greece which feature wine in one way or another. Labels for Lefkadia Reserve wines are unique in their own fashion. Imagine a wine cellar, well-disposed rows of shelves where horizontally placed wine bottles wait in the wings. If step back a bit, you can see just the tops of corks which turn into golden dots. This is our Reserve, a special range of premium wines aged in oak barrels for at least nine months. And the label reminds us of the long months of ageing and of a unique atmosphere of a wine cellar.

12 LEFKADIA CHARDONNAY DRY WHITE Variety: Chardonnay Serving temperature: º С Colour: light straw Aged 8 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The classical Chardonnay aroma: shades of creme brulee and exotic fruits, light notes of toasted almonds. The taste is full. Its refreshing acidity blends beautifully with its spicy bitterness. The wine has a good potential for ageing. CULINARY PAIRINGS: This Chardonnay is recommended to accompany meat salads, grilled fish and lobsters.

13 LEFKADIA SAUVIGNON BLANC DRY WHITE Variety: Sauvignon Blanc Serving temperature: º С. Colour: light straw Aged 8 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The aroma of this wine is bright, variety typical and unforgettable. During aeration white and tropical fruits give place to pure and soft tones of lime, grapefruit zest, currant leaf and ground white pepper. This elegant wine has an interesting, bright, and refreshing taste with a magnificently balanced acidity and sweet shades of melon and other light-coloured fruits. Its long-lasting aftertaste is filled with delicious notes of dried herbs and lime. CULINARY PAIRINGS: Great to accompany fish dishes, seafood and cold starters.

14 LEFKADIA VIOGNIER DRY WHITE Variety: Viognier Serving temperature: º С Colour: light yellow with golden reflections Aged 7-8 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The bouquet is rich, deep and complex. The flavours of peaches, pears with spicy notes, vanilla and acacia flowers stand out. The taste is refreshing, with a pleasant acidity, rounded, intense, filled with shades of dried apricots and vanilla with notes of almond and oak. It has a long-lasting aftertaste. CULINARY PAIRINGS: This wine makes a great aperitif. Recommended with cheeses, foie gras, seafood, fish and white meat.

15 LEFKADIA RESERVE DRY WHITE Varieties: Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne Serving temperature: º С Colour: yellow straw with golden shimmer Ageing: 9 months in a new French barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS A complex sophisticated wine. The aroma has flavours of black pepper, clove, white tobacco, salt and celery unusual for white wines. The aroma of white flowers typical of Viognier crowns the bouquet. You will be conquered by the rounded taste of vanilla creme and barberry. CULINARY PAIRINGS: Can be combined with fish and white meat with sophisticated sauces.

17 LEFKADIA CABERNET SAUVIGNON DRY RED Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon Serving temperature: º С Colour: ruby red with a purple shade Ageing: months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The taste is well balanced, with ripe tannins, notes of mint, black chocolate and coffee beans mixed with an undertone of oak wood. The fruit and berries bouquet is dominated by aromas of cherries, black currant, blackberries, figs and plums with delicate notes of spices and leather. CULINARY PAIRINGS: The wine is perfect for cream cheeses, red meat and stewed dishes.

18 LEFKADIA MERLOT DRY RED Variety: Merlot Serving temperature: º С Colour: deep red Ageing: months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS It has a warm, soft, rounded taste with full and silky tannins, a light acidity and a long-lasting aftertaste. The aroma is intense and complex. It unfolds with the tones of ripe berries such as blackberries and plums followed by the shades of pepper and strawberries, sweet notes of vanilla, dark chocolate and tobacco. CULINARY PAIRINGS: Perfect with game, red meat, spring lamb as well as with aged cheeses and fondue.

19 LEFKADIA PETIT VERDOT DRY RED Variety: Petit Verdot Serving temperature: º С Colour: rich dark ruby Aged 16 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The arome features a polyphony of fruit notes: cherry, strawberry, plum with notes of violet and spices. The flavour is complex, powerful with strong tannins. It has a long-lasting fruity aftertaste. CULINARY PAIRINGS: This wine will accentuate roasted and grilled meat and poultry. It combines perfectly with various cold cuts, cheeses and baked vegetables.

20 LEFKADIA MALBEC DRY RED Variety: Malbec Serving temperature: º С Colour: ruby red Aged 14 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The aroma is bright, with shades of black berries, strawberries, plums, chocolate, smoke, vanilla and spices. The flavour is harmonious, well-balanced, with mild roughness and shades of red fruits, raspberries, strawberries, plum and dried plums. CULINARY PAIRINGS: It is recommended to serve Malbec in combination with products with original flavours and aromas, for examples, with blue cheeses, mushroom dishes and spicy sauces.

21 LEFKADIA SYRAH DRY RED Variety: Syrah Serving temperature: º С Colour: intense purple-blue Aged 12 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS The wine unfolds in a harmony of fruit and spicy aromas: shades of black cherry, cherry, liquorice, black pepper, clove and young mica. The wine flavour is thick, with soft and sweet tannins. Ageing in oak barrels gives complexity to the flavour and the flavour. The wine is distinguished by a long-lasting spicy and fruity aftertaste. CULINARY PAIRINGS: Perfect for poultry and meat as well as aged cheeses.

22 LEFKADIA RESERVE DRY RED Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Krasnostop. Serving temperature: º С Colour: rich dark crimson Aged 18 months in an oak barrel. AROMA AND FLAVOUR CHARACTERISTICS A complex wine from a limited collection. Plums, blackberries, and black pepper with tobacco notes gradually unfold in the glass. The taste is refreshing, bright, and complex, it transits from fruits to spices and minerals. The flavour has strong tannins and a long-lasting aftertaste. CULINARY PAIRINGS: Recommended for quality steaks and grilled vegetables.
