1 GOOD TO KNOW Nº 102 Year 16 May 2016 viña errazuriz ranked top 7 in the list of the world s most admired wine brands The famous list by Drinks International, which gathers opinions from more than 200 professionals from all over the world, included Viña Errazuriz for the first time In 2016, Viña Errazuriz was included for the first time amongst the 10 most admired wine brands of the world, ranked 7th in the list that Drinks International publishes each year. To put the list together, the publication polls more than 200 professionals linked to wine business, amongst them, masters of wine, sommeliers, commercial wine buyers, educators and journalists. According to Holly Motion, editor of the World s Most Admired Wine Brands, in a world with such diversity of brands, being voted one of the top 50 most admired is already a great achievement. Viña Errazuriz is proud and honoured to receive this recognition that reinforces the global presence and brand awareness for which the winery has worked very hard. This remarkable position, which also means a great distinction for the Chilean wine industry, recognizes furthermore the outstanding quality of Errazuriz s wines as well as its market-focused commercial strategy.

The second event commemorates Don Maximiano under the premise Four Decade Journey, with a tasting of different vintages carefully selected to represent each of the four decades that this flagship wine has experienced in its modern history. 4 aconcagua lands in chegdu Viña Errazuriz participated in the 94th version of the China Food and Drinks Fair in Chengdu with a stand inspired in its Don Maximiano Icon Winery from Aconcagua. Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province and one of the cities with the highest economic growth in China, holds each year its Food and Drinks Fair, one of the most significant exhibitions for food and beverages in Asia. The event, which in 2016 took place between March 24 and 26, is also a great showcase for displaying and promoting Chilean wines in China. Given the great commercial success achieved by Viña Errazuriz during the fair s previous version, in this opportunity the winery hosted its visitors in a stand especially designed for comfortably receiving clients and special guests invited to attend the icon wines master classes. Its design was inspired in the Don Maximiano Icon winery from Aconcagua. According to Carlos de Carlos, Viña Errazuriz s General Manager for Asia, this fair remains a great opportunity to gather in just one place our current and potential clients, and it also gives us the chance to educate about our wines and the high quality of our vineyards. The topic of this year s seminar was The Aconcagua Valley: Iconic Terroir from Chile, and it highlighted the diversity of the Aconcagua Valley as well as the distinctive elements in Errazuriz s own vineyards.

5 don maximiano founder s reserve s celebrations With a tasting of carefully selected vintages, including its historic 1983 vintage and an exciting tour guided by oenologists and viticulturists through barrels and underground cellars in Panquehue, Viña Errázuriz celebrated the 30 years of Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve. In the event was also officially launched the 2013 vintage, crafted with the intention of preserving the freshness and capture special fruit flavors and textures from a vintage that has been defined as exceptional. The flagship wine from Viña Errazuriz was named after its founder, Don Maximiano Errázuriz, and represents the legacy, tradition and the constant search of this Chilean winery to develop the best wine from the Aconcagua Valley. Its story has not been widely spread out, although it is one of the first chilean icon wines and started writing its own modern story in the early '80s, when the current President of the winery, Eduardo Chadwick, was commissioned by his father, Alfonso Chadwick Errázuriz - both descendants of the winery s founder-, to continue the family tradition and export to the world the high quality of the Aconcagua Valley through world-class wines.
