2 Fanatic s Corner Fanatic release party, it's a social event! The new wine release party on May 11th was another successful evening with over 100 in attendance. It all started with a taste of our 2014 Semonnay followed by the new 2016 Rose. Our live music made for a nice relaxed atmosphere. Some fanatics have been members for extended periods: 10, 20 & 30 years, so many members already know each other and it was great to see folks mixing and chatting. I was particularly pleased to see & meet many new Fanatic Club Members in attendance and noticed how easily they fit in. The wines were again paired with tapas-sized foods including Ratatouille, Savory Pork, various cheeses, breads, cupcakes, seasonal fruit and snacks. Lanny poured a perfectly aged 2009 Conjugation library wine which was available for purchase. I'd like to thank those folks that made a point of saying they had a great time. If you haven't been to a fanatic member s night recently, then I'll look forward to seeing you at the next one towards the end of the summer. In the meantime, see you at the tasting room - Gerard Winemaker s Notes The growing season is off to a great start! The Winter and early Spring brought us an abundance of rainfall which has replenished the thirsty soil. Now warm weather is upon us and as I write, the beautiful aromas of flowering grape clusters envelop our estate vineyards. In the winery, we are preparing our 2016 Chardonnay, 2016 Semillon, and 2015 estate wines for bottling. For the future 2017 harvest we may make some varietal wines that we haven t made in many years. Sauvignon blanc and Pinot noir being two examples. I hope to see you at some of the upcoming events! Cheers, Aaron Luna

Introducing The True Tasting Experience Looking for a unique wine tasting experience?

Your group will taste 6 wines in a private outdoor setting on our lawn, with a magnificent view of our creek and vineyards.

Your group will have the opportunity to learn about the wines, the cheeses, and why they are paired, as well as the rich history of our winery.

There are 4 flights from which to chose, and the experience will last between 60-90 minutes. Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance.

Fenestra Winey is proud to offer an exclusive, private wine tasting experience for groups of 4-10 people, by reservation only. Your group will taste 6 wines in a private outdoor setting on our lawn, with a magnificent view of our creek and vineyards. Our wine steward will present your pre-selected flight of wines, as well as cheeses and charcuterie that will pair with our wines. Your group will have the opportunity to learn about the wines, the cheeses, and why they are paired, as well as the rich history of our winery. This private wine tasting is being offered at the introductory price of $30.00 per person. There are 4 flights from which to chose, and the experience will last between minutes. Reservations must be made at least 1 week in advance. If you would like the owner, Lanny Replogle, to be your wine steward for the experience, please indicate that at the time the reservations are made. His availability is not guaranteed. 4 New Releases We are releasing the 2016 Dry Rosé, the 2011 Lodi Tempranillo, 2011 Livermore Malbec and the 2013 Zinfandel. The Dry Rosé is a blend of Grenache and Syrah from our estate vineyards. Only 39 cases were bottled. It is a charming and refreshing wine, best served cold. The 2011 Lodi Tempranillo was awarded a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and a Silver Medal with 88 points at the State Fair. Grapes for the 2011 Malbec came from the award winning Ghielmetti Vineyard at Reuss Road off of Tesla in Livermore. The 2013 Zinfandel will be the last vintage until the 2016 is bottled and released in the years to come. Hold your next party at Fenestra Winery! 5 Awards At the recent SF Chronicle Wine Competition, our 2012 Estate Syrah was named Best of Class with a Gold Medal. Also winning Gold Medals were the 2011 Merlot, 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2013 Cabernet Franc. The 2015 Chardonnay, 2012 Estate Grenache, 2013 Estate Mourvedre, 2012 Conjugation and the 2013 Estate Infrared all won Silver Medals. At the CA State Fair, the 2013 Petite Sirah won a Gold Medal and a 95 point score; the 2012 Grenache received a Silver Medal, Best of Class of Region and 91 Points. The 2015 Verdelho also received a Silver Medal and 91 points. Our 2012 Syrah was selected as the best Syrah and the 2012 Conjugation received a Gold Medal at the local Livermore Uncorked competition. The 2012 Conjugation was picked as Best Varietal and Best of Class with 95 points at the New World International Wine Competition, and the 2013 Cabernet Franc received a Gold Medal and 95 points as well.
