Our last stop will be at the Nethercutt Collection for a 1:30 pm, 2- hour guided tour. Your tour will include the collection of vintage, black iron and classic automobiles displayed on the Lower and Grand Salon Showrooms and walk through the 1937 Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson Locomotive and a 1912 Pullman Private Car. Once you arrive in Santa Paula, a docent will meet you off the train for a guided walking tour of the California Oil Museum and the Ventura County Agriculture Museum that are all located at the Railroad Plaza. You will then board the train for a 10 minute ride to the Loose Caboose Garden Center & Gift Emporium where you will find a variety of unique collectables. There is a large selection of locally produced honey products from the Bennett s Honey Farm, koi ponds, pottery, fresh produce and more. AARP Driver Safety Program ~8 hour Course Mon. & Wed., Aug. 21 and 23 9:00 am 1:00 pm Cost: $15 AARP Members $20 Non-members The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation s first and largest classroom course, designed especially for drivers ages 50 and older. However, the course is open to licensed drivers of all ages. Course completion helps older drivers refine existing skills and develop safe driving strategies in today s challenging driving environment. There are no tests required. You may also be able to receive a premium discount from your auto insurance company, after completing the AARP safety driving course. Pre-registration is required. He is a fine gentleman and is patient with all those that are checking in for lunch. As hard as this job can be, he seems to enjoy it very much. Roberto is a patient man who is always so polite. He greets everyone with a good morning and enjoys chatting with his fellow registrars at the registration table. It s illegal to throw used syringes in the trash, yard waste barrels, recycling or compost bins Volunteer Drivers Needed Thursday, July 20 10:00 a.m. These meetings offer both preventative and important information on this controllable disease. This is a good time to ask any questions that you might have. 5 NO COST for containers (2 per pick up) Remember, proof of residency and proof of necessity such as prescription is required in order to get a free container. Drop off box located in front of Azusa Senior Center. Residents can also deposit any rigid sealed containers such as soda bottles up to 2-liter in size. Do you have some extra time to spare?
