As with every ride we provide, YOUR safety and that of our staff is of utmost priority. The decision to cancel transportation, meals and activities is not taken lightly. Our team begins very early in the morning assessing weather conditions to determine if service to your particular area of the county can be safely achieved. Yes, sometimes this means the Defiance center might be operating while the Hicksville center cannot. How can You help?? Please ask someone to shovel your driveways and sidewalks and have the ice removed. You will be notified by telephone if conditions at your home or in town are too dangerous for us to travel. Also - make sure you have a three day supply of food, water and your meds in case we are unable to reach you. Consider having Senior Services FROZEN MEALS on hand for bad weather days. Take Care!
