12 Civil Marriage Ceremonies At the Cavendish Hotel Eastbourne, we are licensed to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies, which enables you to have your entire wedding under one roof. Making Arrangements The Civil Ceremony booking procedure is as follows: Check availability with the Registrar at Eastbourne Registry Office A Formal Notice of Marriage can be given and a firm booking for the ceremony date and time can be arranged up to 12 months in advance. Both Bride and Groom must each give Notice of the Marriage in person to the Superintendent Registrar in the district in which you live. A fee must be paid for each notice and relevant identification documents will be required. After giving Notice of Marriage, the ceremony must take place after 15 days but within 12 months. Full details of the formalities required will be given to you when you call the Eastbourne Register Office. Confirm Ceremony Room Hire Charges: Marine Restaurant 120 to 200 Guests Coronet Suite 60 to 80 Guests Sussex Suite Guests Room Hire from 350 Terms & Conditions Wedding Packages Please note the following requirements before confirming your reservation. 1. The minimum number required for your Wedding Reception is detailed according to the venue in which it will be held as detailed below. Should your numbers fall below this, you will be charged for the minimum number of adults. Coronet Suite 50 Adults Sussex Suite 50 Adults Marine Restaurant 120 Adults 2. Prices are subject to availability. 3. Once you have provisionally booked your date with us you will be issued with a contract. This must be signed and returned with a non-refundable deposit of is required within 14 days to secure your booking. This will be deducted from the final balance. 4. The balance of the account is to be settled 14 days prior to the event. 5. Children between the ages of 0-2 yrs are free of charge and can be provided with a highchair on request. Children from aged 3 years must be included in your numbers. Children must be supervised at all time and must not be supplied with alcohol. Parents or guardians will be deemed responsible for children. 6. Unless included in your chosen package the room hire for Civil Ceremony is an additional charge. This charge does not include the use of this room in the evening. 7. In the event of cancellation the following charges will be made: Cancellation of a confirmed booking loss of deposit. Cancellation with less than six months notice 100% of estimated total charge. 8. All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate 9. The Cavendish Hotel must supply all beverages % of total day and evening guests must be catered for in the evening, by means of our buffet menu, guests who have attended the wedding breakfast, the cost of the evening buffet is included in the package. Guests only attending the evening aren t included in the package, but are priced individually. 11. Tables are set with white linen and napkins. 12. Place name cards, menus and a table plan produced by the Cavendish Hotel are included in the package price if required. 13. Under the Health Act 2006 it is a criminal offence to smoke in a place of work as of 1st July Designated areas are available for smokers. Offenders may be liable to prosecution.
