2 Helpful Reminders About Free & Reduced Program Free and Reduced Meal applications are available at all campuses, all year, in case your financial situation changes Families must submit a new application for free and reduced meals each school year. Turn in original application with signature. We cannot accept faxed or scanned copies. Prior year student statuses will be changed when a new meal application is processed. If a family does not reapply for the School year, benefits will expire 30 days after the start of school. If you qualify for Free and Reduced Lunch - you also qualify for Breakfast! Please join us! Free & Reduced income guidelines are set by the USDA. Jobs We are always accepting employment applications! Great hours that will mimic your students schedule! Please apply at the administration building for Child Nutrition. Prepayment Information Prepayments are accepted daily before school and during breakfast or lunch. Payments can be made with cash, checks, or through an online site All checks must include a current mailing address and can be made out to BISD Child Nutrition. Any check returned due to insufficient funds shall result in a $25 processing fee. Charging Policy We understand that occasionally a student may forget or misplace lunch money. It happens to the best of us! No problem, It is the District s policy to allow a student to charge up to five times (up to a value of $12.50). Students may not charge snacks or a la carte items. After the fifth occurrence, the child will be offered an alternate meal each day until the balance is paid. Visit the Child Nutrition and Food Service website for current information about new recipes, special promotions, and regulations.
