3 People choice award If participating in this event, please note of 70% of the funds raised will go directly to Caring for Gods Kids programs to help the youth in Bell County. We will be selling tickets to the guest they will walk to those who are participating and place them in a box at your location. This will now be 1st thru 3rd place will receive trophies plus money. All tickets your box will be tallied to find the People Choice winners BBQ Cooking Parking Rules Your 40 X 40 spot will only allow you to have the following items: We are not charging you extra for the length of your RV. We just need to know the exact size so we can have room for other cookers. A. Camper or Tent setup B. BBQ Pit & Smokers C. One Vehicle D. ATV or Golf Carts. Team Members will not be able to park next to your spot or in your place. We have assigned areas that other competitors have paid. We must be able to keep the area open for fire trucks or ambulances & police to get thru. This is in conjunction with the Temple Police & Fire Department. Your team member will have an assigned parking area with all the other vendors and competitors. This is will be behind a fence and doesn t have public access. You can only get thru a security guard to get in this area. We have other events in our show that have paid for their sectors. They will be no driving in the park due with the entire quest that will be in here. You Get a 40 x 40 Spot when you enter the competition. In your place, you must have an ash & coal receptacles container. We have an ash & coal containers will be available in designated areas. Your Team MUST use for disposal of coals and ash your BBQ Trailer will not be able to leave with hot coals in it. If your team fails this, you will be disqualified from the event and not allowed to come back. This is a safety violation. Each contestant competing shall purchase ALL of their meat, cooking ingredients, individual cooking devices (portable stoves, wood or charcoal, and other supplies. Along with utensils, preparation tables, extension cords, water. Only one (1) cut of meat judged per contestant. Team members and or Family There are only four parking passes in your registration fee application. Use them as need there will not be any more sold. This is to keep all the other vendors and competitors to have parking spots for their personnel. If your group needs to come and go, we will have a separate spot open outside the gates for your needs. This is for the family to park and get items from the store or food outside the festival area. 4 The competitor s setup times and leave time will be: A. Thursday the gates will open at 11 am then will close at 10 pm B. Friday, Saturday & Sunday the gates will open at 6:30 am then will close at 9 am this will be a no vehicles till 8 pm to leave the park. This is to give our guest the area free of dust and traffic from moving thru the dangers zones of public spaces. Not following our rules will be accompanied out of the area by the Temple Police Department or Bell County Sheriffs BBQ & Chili Competition (1) Whole Chickens: Chicken yard bird (1) Pulled Pork: Pork defined as Boston Butt, Boston Roast, Picnic or Whole Shoulder (1) Pork Ribs: spare of baby back Ribs shall include the bone. Country style ribs are prohibited. (1) Beef Brisket: Whole brisket, flat. Corned beef is not allowed These will be the start of Turn in times: Chicken 12:00 pm 15 bite size Pork Ribs 1:00 pm Beef Brisket 2:00 pm Jack Pot Pork 3:00 pm Chili will be turned in on Friday at 7:30 pm for the judging Jackpot Chili Friday 7:30 pm Chili any kind will be the Jackpot Items. Up to you to cook can be with or without beans. For all those contestants who wishes to leave can do so on Saturday at 7:30 pm after the ceremonies. All those can stay until Sunday. The awards ceremony will start at 5 Pm will all division winners the meat winners then 1st to 3rd place winners. 5 JUDGING PROCEDURES Teddy Bears BBQ allows for blind judging only. Entries will submit in an approved Teddy Bears BBQ numbered container provided by the CTBA organizer. The Central Texas Barbeque Association Guidelines & Rules. They are the sanctioning body for the barbecue. All contestants must follow these rules & procedures of this organization. Deadlines for forms is August 11, ; Please submit before this date this is first come first serve in spots THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR EACH PLACE WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE NUMBER OF TEAMS ENTERED.
