So you will learn how to say some food s names in Chinese and some Chinese food culture. Ask what they have known about Chinese food to expand the lesson. Talk about what Chinese eat during some festivals (Chinese food culture) Estimated Time 10 minutes Materials Required Team Memb er Language Coordinator Comments Extra challenge: learn how to say Activity 1 Teach the new words first Based on the vocabulary, ask students to draw picture and share with instructor by saying what they have drawn in Chinese. (Also need to describe the color of the food, and how many they have drawn) Activity 2 Chopsticks man! A volunteer will come to the front and use the chopsticks to pick up the pictures of whatever food the classmate says (take turns). Maybe the time can be recorded; whoever uses the shortest time is the winner. 11 Activity #1 - Let s Draw! You need to choose and draw a picture of the food from the five types of food you just learned. And then you introduce the color and the amount of the food you have drawn to your assistant instructors. Also, please describe the food with the words you just learned to them as well.

Instructor will show you the picture of each food we discussed, and you need to say the name of the food and whether you like the food or not. Also you will ask if assistant instructors like it.
