Blending asymphonyoffragrance Whencomposingablend,wespeakin thetermsoftheideathattheessences arelikemusicalnotes.intheperfume industry the aromatic essences are classifiedaccordingtotop,middleand basenotes. Important guidelines before you begin Investigateandlearnaboutthe quality,andsafetyofessential oilsyouwillbeworkingwith. Pleaserememberthatthe essentialoilsstillhavethe samepropertiesand contraindications.justbecause youareblendingthemfora perfume,theoilsdonotknow that!thecitrusoilsarestill photosensitive,toxicoilsare stilltoxicandthecontra indicationsstillholdfor pregnancies,epilepsy, high/lowbloodpressureand allergies. Educateyoursenseofsmell. Thesenseofsmellcanbe educatedtoappreciatespecific perfumeingredientsaseasily asthesenseoftastecanbe educatedtowines,teas,and coffees.explorethedifferent aromasthatcomeforwardas youinhaleeachessentialoil. Documenteverythingyou blend,whileyouareblending, soyoudon tforgetyour formulas. Takebreaks,forsafetyreasons. Essentialoilsarevery powerfullyconcentrated substances,andwhenworking foralongtimecancreateside effects,suchasheadaches, nauseaordrowsiness. Makesurethatthejarsand utensilsyouuseforyour perfumesareglassand sterilized. It is advisable to start blending withthebasenotesmovinguptothetopnote.(*top middlenote, **Middle note) Make sure that your perfume will contain all the notes to insure a harmoniousaroma.keepinmindthetruearomawillonlyberevealedtwotothree hoursaftertheblendhasbeenblended.
