2 Teichenné is a family business established in 1956 in the Penedes wine region, in Catalonia, in the north-east of Spain. The firm started exclusively distilling wine to produce brandy in the most traditional way and only for the home market. Along the following years, with the new generation joining the firm and new drinking fashions and habits more products are elaborated and the firm specializes in the production of sweet fruit liqueurs known as Schnapps. Nowadays, with Teichenné liqueurs and spirits present in more than 40 countries, the same old family theme continues to apply: to offer the highest quality possible keeping the personality of our products. Teichenné es una empresa familiar fundada en 1956 en el área vinícola del Penedès. Inicialmente, la empresa se dedicaba exclusivamente a la elaboración de aguardiente de vino, de modo artesanal y para el consumo local y comarcal. Con los años y el cambio generacional, el abanico de productos se amplió a todo tipo de destilados, especializándose en los licores de frutas, conocidos cómo Schnapps. Hoy en día y con nuestros productos exportados a más de 40 países, el lema de Teichenné continua siendo el mismo: ofrecer la máxima calidad y personalidad en nuestros productos.

13 TEQUILA Made using traditional methods and the raw material is the hearts or piñas (harvested when they are about 5 to 8 years old) of the Blue Agave (a plant that is native to Central America, also called mezcal, maguey or pita), which are harvested by hand and cooked in stone ovens. They are heated slowly for 2 days in stone ovens before being processed with special yeasts and distilled in small copper stills.
