Increasing complexity and lifting fruity sensations, a very interesting aftertaste amid smooth fruit and fresh acidity, with a lingering and persistent finish. Jacob s Creek Chardonnay, Australia (1) Clear, with a medium yellow colour; light/medium intensity apple, peach, melon and citrus aromas are accented by a hint of vanilla; light/medium body, with flavours of fresh green apple, citrus and melon; the finish is crisp and dry. Louis Bernard Cotes du Rhone, France (0) Pale straw colour; lightly tropical, floral aromas and flavours with peach, stone fruit and mineral notes; dry, full bodied, well balanced, refreshing acidity and long lingering finish. 9 WINE SELECTIONS International Red Wines (All wines are 750ml bottles) Santa Rita 120 Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile (0) An intensive red violet wine; on the nose red and black fruit are dominant with a touch of spice, intermingled with aromas of vanilla, clove and tobacco from wood. Well rounded, with sweet elegant tannins that remain strong, providing a juicy, fresh lingering finish. Woodbridge Cabernet Merlot, California (0) A velvety smooth, yet delightfully full-flavoured wine. Lush, plumy aromas and silky black cherry flavours. Hints of sandalwood, mocha and vanilla oak lend a nice bit of spice to this wine. $34.00 Piantoaferro Syrah, Italy (0) This wine is almost purple in colour and smells immediately sweet. Little residual sugar on the palate softens the wine. It is very round with aromas and flavours of chocolate and anise. Soft sweet tannins add to its lushness.
