3 Cocktails from the Start Old Fashioned 11 The Developed in the 1880 s, this drink comes in an Old-Fashioned glass, which is how it earned its name. This cocktail has remained true to its roots through prohibition and is a must. Old Forester Bourbon, Bitters, Sugar Cube, Orange Slice, Cherry Sazerac 11 Receiving its name from the Sazerac de Forge et Fils brand of cognac, this New Orleans born cocktail is arguably the oldest cocktail around, showcasing a blend of flavors as sophisticated and unique as its birth place.
