1 British Bites By Kindergarten Cup Of Tea Biscuits Ingredients: 1 pkt Arnott's Tic Toc biscuits 1 pkt marshmallows 1 pkt Allen's Freckles 1 pkt Musk Lifesavers, halved 100g white chocolate, melted Ingredients: Trifle 1 ready-made sponge cake 1 pkt prepared red jelly 2 cups prepared custard 1 tin (800g) fruit salad in juice Sprinkles 8 plastic glasses Directions: Slice the cake and place in bottom of cups. Spoon two tablespoons of fruit salad (juice and all) on top of the sponge. Spoon on half a cup jelly per cup and then the same of custard. Top with sprinkles. *Can also top with cream, ice-cream and chocolate flakes. Directions: Lay out the Tic Toc biscuits. Use the melted chocolate to 'glue' a marshmallow to the centre of each biscuit. Place a dot of choc on the top of each marshmallow and place a Freckle on top. Place a dot of choc on the cut surfaces of each Lifesaver half and stick it to the side for a cup handle.

4 Method Step 1 Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook onion for 2 minutes, or until soft. Add mince. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, for 5 minutes or until browned. Step 2 Add kidney beans, chilli powder, seasoning, tomato paste and water. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until thick. Step 3 Arrange corn chips on a plate. Top with mince. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with salsa, avocado and sour cream. Serve.

Ingredients: 1 cup self-raising flour 1 tbsp sugar 1 egg 3/4 cup milk 50g butter, melted Method: In a bowl mix flour and sugar. Beat in the egg and then milk at little at a time until batter is smooth and lumpfree. In a hot pan or flat grill, brush butter over cooking surface and pour 1/4 cup measures for each pancake. When large bubbles form on the surface, flip over and cook until lightly golden on the other side

8 FRIED RICE Ingredients 1 cup white long-grain rice 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 2 eggs, lightly beaten 3 rashers middle bacon, trimmed, chopped 1 garlic clove, crushed 3 shallots, chopped 1 cup frozen vegetables 1 tablespoon soy sauce Method 1. Cook rice following packet directions. Drain. Rinse. Drain. Spread on a tray. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until cold. 2. Heat a wok or electric fry pan over medium-high heat. Add half the oil. Swirl to coat. Add half the egg. Swirl to cover base of wok. Cook for 30 seconds or until just set. Lift from wok. Transfer to a board. Repeat with remaining egg. Roughly chop egg. 3. Heat remaining oil in wok. Stir-fry bacon for 3 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add garlic, onion and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add rice. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes or until rice is heated through and peas tender. Add beansprouts and soy sauce. Stir-fry for 1 minute. Season with pepper. Serve. BANANA FRITTERS Ingredients 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying * 1 cup flour 1/4 cup caster sugar * pinch baking powder 1 cup of milk * 1 egg 4 bananas, not too soft cinnamon, topping and icecream Method 1. In a bowl, combine the flour, caster sugar and baking powder. Add the egg and milk and whisk until the batter is smooth. The consistency should be like pancake mix. 2. Cut the bananas on the diagonal into 3cm slices. Lightly dust with flour then coat with the batter. 3. Carefully lower the bananas into a deep fryer and cook till golden, about 1-2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Dust with cinnamon sugar and serve with icecream and topping.
