McCalley 1/ Lettuce is the most important crop grown in Monterey County. The value of the 1963 crop was set at $34,547, The total value of all vegetable crops grown in the county for the year was $92,955, Some recent estimates of acreage, yield, and prices received are given below from the Agricultural Commissioner's report. Yields are based on two dozen size cartons.
