The M3 and M27 bring London within 1 hour by road and provide fast and easy access to the Midlands and the North. InterCity trains are direct from most parts of the country and Southampton International Airport is within 10 minutes drive of the University. From informal meeting rooms for as few as 12 people, through to theatres that hold up to 425, there s a room to suit every need. Some of our rooms are also ideal for exhibitions, poster presentations and other displays and are fully supported by telephone points, power and data supply. All of our meeting rooms offer a professional standard of audio visual equipment. We are committed to using locally sourced produce wherever possible, ensuring local sustainability for the region s businesses. Our coffee and tea is 100% Fair Trade and Fair Trade confectionery and biscuits are available on request. Residents can choose to prepare for the day ahead with a cooked or continental breakfast, enjoy a hot or cold two-course buffet lunch, and also make the most of refreshments provided throughout the day. In the evening, we offer a choice of informal dinners or a full banquet. Our Hospitality team offer several flexible menus with vegetarian and special diet options also available. 8 Time for you to relax The University is renowned for its sporting and leisure facilities. The Sports Centre offers a wide selection of facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool, fitness centre and sports hall. Easily accessible on campus, the facilities may be booked as part of a combined package or enjoyed by independent delegates. A comfortable place to rest your head in a choice of standard or en-suite accommodation... We can offer a choice of comfortable bedrooms on a Bed and Breakfast, Half Board or Full Board basis. All rooms are single with some rooms specifically adapted to suit the needs of delegates with disabilities. All guests have access to tea and coffee making facilities and internet access can also be arranged. Car parking is provided on-site free of charge and we are located just 3/4 miles from the main railway station. Southampton is fortunate to be served by an excellent network of public transport. All accommodation is within easy walking distance of the main Highfield Campus. Accommodation is available during Easter and Summer vacations. The City of Southampton also offers a range of good quality overnight accommodation, from family-run guest houses to stylish hotels. Private gatherings can range from select dinners for friends to larger charity events and all are carried out with total professionalism and plenty of style. Our experienced chefs have developed a carefully selected fine dining menu portfolio with seasonal variations throughout the year and use of local produce where possible. You can guarantee that we will prepare an excellent array of quality food. We can also arrange table dressings such as flowers or balloons and would be more than happy to help you arrange a wide variety of after dinner entertainment ranging from a simple Disco and DJ to Jazz Bands, Tribute Artists, After Dinner Speaker or Table Magicians.
