1 Teacher s notes and key Level: B1/B2 intermediate. Aims: to learn some vocabulary about cooking with eggs to practise reading for detail to learn about words that can be either nouns or verbs to exchange some egg recipes. Timing: approximately one and a half hours. Task 1 Vocabulary To start with, show students the word cloud only, without revealing the title of the article/lesson. Answer: All the words are connected with eggs. They are either ways of preparing eggs, dishes cooked with eggs, or names of birds whose eggs we eat. Make sure all students understand the meaning of the words before completing the table. The pictures at the end of the teacher s notes can help, as can some samples of different eggs or egg dishes! You may want to point out that some two-syllable words of this sort have a different stress pattern as a noun and as a verb.
