We are excited about harvest season and the beautiful weather in the Yarra Valley. Now is the perfect time to visit the farm so pick a date on the calendar and pop in to do some Christmas shopping in tranquil settings and indulge with some lavender scones. The first lavenders are coming into bloom in preparation for the Christmas harvest. The roses are in full bloom and our display gardens continue to present an array of colour. Summer is a beautiful time to visit to Warratina Lavender Farm. Come and enjoy garden walks in the clean Yarra Valley air and take a tour around the beautiful Wandin district. Stop in at the Lavender Cottage Tea Rooms for a light lunch or even indulge in one of our delicious All Day Breakfast options on the seasonal menu. The farm is open 6 days a week (closed Tuesdays) and group bookings and drying shed tours are available. The never-ending weeding program is ongoing with grass mowing and general garden maintenance keeping us busy. The gift shop has some new gift ranges in stock for Christmas alongside the full Warratina Lavender collection. We have beautiful Christmas gift packs available plus a Christmas gift wrapping service to save you the trouble! Today the farm has over 10,000 lavender plants and caters to tourists from around the world with warm hospitality and beautiful products. Warratina Lavender Farm is situated in tranquil surroundings in the Yarra Valley foothills of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Walks can be enjoyed through the fields of lavender and display gardens. See how the plants are commercially grown and explore the beautiful range of products available in the gift shop and enjoy a meal at the Tea Rooms.

FRESH LAVENDER There is nothing more beautiful than a bunch of fresh lavender in a vase as the centerpiece for your family table these Christmas holidays! The harvest season starts late November and runs through to early January so grab a bunch or two of our freshly-harvested lavender when you visit! For bookings and enquiries please contact us on SHORTBREAD Did you know Shortbread resulted from a medieval biscuit bread, which was a twice-baked, enriched bread roll dusted with sugar and spices and hardened into a hard, dry, sweetened biscuit called a rusk. Eventually, yeast from the original rusk recipe was replaced by butter. Warratina s buttery shortbread has a hint of lavender to compliment a cup of coffee or tea.
