Our mission Offering distinctive added value in the entire potato supply chain through the development and marketing of potato varieties and related services. MEIJER People make all the difference. Meijer was founded in 1920 and we are still a family company today. Our employees are central to this and determine the strength of the organisation. It is based on their passion and commitment. All of our people, each with their own specific knowledge and experience, feel strongly involved with Meijer, our seed potato growers and buyers. By keeping in touch with everyone and cooperating with each other, we work on the development of potato varieties that offer you extra value, knowing that nature continues to pose challenges for us to meet all wishes and requirements. We look forward to further strengthening or starting our relationship with you. Erika den Daas

MEIJER COMPANY We are active in the French Fry, Crisp and Table market segments. Our potato varieties are sold worldwide as high-quality seed potatoes or grown under license. To achieve this, the most important factor is the addition of extra value to the potato supply chain which we make possible by utilising the latest non-gmo techniques in breeding and in multiplication. Ultimately, it is about presenting newly available potato varieties to you more quickly. Personal contact with our clients is essential to know how our potato varieties perform and where future challenges and needs lie. We do this by visiting you (worldwide) and by participating in tradeshows and events. You can also visit us to get to know Meijer better. Meijer has subsidiaries in various countries. These are located in the UK, Poland, Spain and Turkey. Our vision As Meijer, we develop hybrid power in the breeding of our potato varieties. We strongly emphasise distinctive characteristics and innovation in our breeding with consciously targeted choices to meet the needs of the potato supply chain. Reliability and respect are characteristics that we, as a company, attach great importance to. 3

USE WHAT YOU PRODUCE The availability of good and sufficient food is becoming harder to secure in more and more countries. A growing world population, changes in the climate and the unpredictable availability of suitable water are some of the reasons for this. We need to produce more efficient food together to meet the challenges of the future. Less input with more output: that is what Meijer understands under Use what you produce. The potato plant is more efficient in creating nutritional value compared to other food crops. In addition, all of the residual streams of potatoes are useful for other applications. Our varieties showcase potatoes with a high degree of efficiency with consumption and use which thereby contributes to a better food supply in the world. Discover how our varieties can make a difference for you!

Meijer for sure Quality: that is what we stand for. The many choices we make are continually focused on: offering, delivering, and giving QUALITY. We want to be service-oriented and reliable. Building and maintaining good business relationships with professional potato companies from the supply chain is our goal. Our breeding work is the basis for achieving this. Therefore, we use high-quality breeding and selection techniques. 5

A high yield per hectare and low sugars formed in the tuber are required. We strive to ensure that our varieties can handle the variable weather conditions caused by climate change. These characteristics are crucial for a crisp potato variety and are the starting point for all our crisp potatoes.
