1 CDC PALMER Kabuli Chickpea Description CDC Palmer is a high-yielding Kabuli type chickpea with a light cream-beige colour and ram-head shaped seed. It has medium-late maturity and moderate resistance to ascochyta blight. CDC Palmer is well-suited to all current chickpea growing areas in the Dark Brown and Brown soil zones of southern Saskatchewan and southeastern Alberta. 3 CDC SNOWDROP Faba Bean Description CDC Snowdrop is a small seeded low tannin type faba bean and has the smallest seed size of the current cultivars. It has great tolerance to lodging and is easier to seed due to its seed size. It is suitable for livestock and feed markets because of its low tannin characteristics. CDC Snowdrop is adapted for all faba bean production areas. It has very similar plant characteristics to CDC Maxim, but is higher yielding and has a plumper seed.
