Two types Primocane: fruiting in the summer and fall on the current year growth Floricane: fruiting only in the summer on the last year growth -raspberries-home-garden 00&context=extension_curall 9 0 Planting and cultivation Planting and training Soil Well drained; high organic nitrogen Sandy loam preferred ph (tolerates 4.5 to 7.5) Planting: spring and early summer recommended. Fertilization: early spring at 5-6 lbs (0-0-0)/00 feet of planting row or ½ cup per clump. Weed control: mulching helps.
