Honeycrisp is a good pollination partner. May need some winter protection. Grows 24 /year. Matures in 50 years. Good nesting tree. Catkins attract birds. North American native. Zone: 2 Cherry, Valentine Prunus Valentine 4 tree in 7-gallon container $75 Height: 8 Spread: 5 Shape: Rounded shrub or small tree Foliage: Green Flower: White SOLD OUT Hardy self-pollinating dwarf medium-sour cherry shrub/tree, developed in Saskatchewan for Canadian winters and easy picking. Showy clusters of large fragrant white flowers in mid-spring, followed by an abundance of tart red cherries perfect for baking, jellies or jams. Cherries ripen mid-july to mid-august but become sweeter the longer they remain on the tree. Glossy oval leaves turn yellow in the fall. Self-pollinating and high-yielding - considered a great cherry tree.

Partially self-fertile, but will produce a better crop when crosspollinated with another variety. This heirloom pear was introduced to North America in the early 1800s.
