Sedum 'Xenox' PP#16888 Sedum 'Xenox' starts out purplish-green in the spring but then ages to a rich reddish-purple in the summer and is topped with rosy-pink flowers in August. Sedum acre Price: $3.75, 3+ $3.00 Sedum acre is a tightly low growing groundcover topped with yellow flowers in the spring. It grows 2 to 4" high and spreads as far as allowed, looking great cascading over rocks or used between stepping stones, just trim away the excess. Sedum sieboldii Sedum sieboldii is a slowly spreading plant that forms a cascading mound of rounded blue-green foliage with a pink edge and pink flowers in the fall. Sisyrinchium 'Lucerne' Sisyrinchium 'Lucerne' (blue-eyed grass) forms 10" high and 15" wide tufts of flat, grass-like foliage and clusters of purplish-blue, star-like flowers. Flowers bloom for a long time in summer, opening and closing in the afternoon on a sunny day. Tanacetum 'Robinson's Red' Tanacetum 'Robinson's Red' produces many magenta-red, yellow centered daisies on 24 to 36" stems in early summer above lacy, fern-like foliage. It will naturalize in a sunny, well-drained location and makes a great cut flower.
13 Veronica 'Georgia Blue' Price: $5.75, 3-4: $5.00, 5+ $4.50 Veronica 'Georgia Blue' is a terrific groundcover for the sun to part shade garden, forming a low mat of round, dark green foliage that is completely covered with tiny medium blue flowers in spring. Veronica 'Goodness Grows' Veronica 'Goodness Grows' is one of the best of the violet-blue spike speedwell. It forms a low growing mat of foliage and has violet-blue flowers spikes all summer long over clean green foliage. It grows 14" high and spreads 15 to 18" wide. Veronica 'Tidal Pool' Price: $6.75 Veronica 'Tidal Pool' (PPAF) is an easy to grow heat and drought tolerant groundcover for the sun to part sun garden, forming a low, wide mat of tiny, maple-like green leaves that are covered with many medium to deep violet-blue flowers in late April into May. Veronica 'Whitewater' Price: $5.75, 3-4: $5.00, 5+ $4.50 Veronica 'Whitewater' (PP#22783) is a white sport of the popular Veronica 'Waterperry Blue'. It is an easy to grow groundcover for the sun to part sun garden, forming a low, trailing mat of shiny green leaves covered with tiny white flowers in spring and summer. Yucca 'Color Guard' Price: $9.75, 3+ $9.00 Yucca 'Color Guard' is a colorful plant with creamy yellow centers and blue-green edges. It stays compact at 2' high and wide and adds an excellent foliage accent to the hot, sunny garden, looking great with dark leaved Sedum or hardy Geranium. Yucca filamentosa Yucca filamentosa has long, pointed, dark green semi-evergreen blades that form a mound about 3 to 4' high and wide. In summer, tall flower spikes rise high above the clump holding large, creamy bell-shaped flowers.
