Varieties of blue grass and varieties of rye grass that have been successfully blended and used on campus are as follows: Varieties change. I m sure these are old. Blue Grass Glade Merit Majestic Rugby Gnome Rye Grass Britestar Manhattan III Blazer Pennant Quickstart Laredo The proper blend between blue grass and rye grass should be 75% rye grass to 25% blue grass by weight. 2. Turf type Tall Fescue is acceptable as a less water consumptive alternative turf material. Three varieties of fescue should be blended with a small percentage (~5%) of aggressive blue grass. Varieties used: Coyote, Jaguar, Tulsa. Varieties change. I m sure these are old. B. Native Pasture: refer to "Grasslands", above. C. Erosion Control Grass Mix 1. Soil Stabilization (For soil stabilization during construction. Not to be used for restoration. Contractor shall submit seed label and seed analysis to UCSC representative for approval prior to application).
