1 World of Whisky Auction 3 May 2016, 7.30pm The Bay Room, Level 1, Cosmopolitan Centre 2 22 Knox Street, Double Bay (Entrance on Bay Street) 1. The organisers will endeavor to describe each lot accurately and comprehensively, but it is the responsibility of the bidders to satisfy themselves as to the condition of the bottles. 2. Bidders need to register with the organisers beforehand. 3. All lots will be able to be viewed from 7.00pm at the auction venue. 4. All lots have a reserve price. Bidders will be told whether the reserve has been met or not during the course of the bidding. 5. Bidders do not need to be at the Auction venue to able to place a bid. Simply send in your maximum bids for particular lots, and a representative will bid on your behalf. 6. The successful bidder will pay for freight, postage, packaging and insurance, where applicable. 7. All sales will be considered as final, and no refunds or returns will be available. 8. Payment is on the spot by cash, EFTPOS or credit card before goods are handed over. Sellers are paid within 5 working days less commission.

3 4 Ardbeg Uigedail 2006 An early release of the classic Uigeadail. Bottled at 54.2% ABV 5 6 Ardbeg Galileo & Kildalton A pair of classic Ardbegs, the 12yo Galileo at 49% ABV, and the limited release Kildalton 2014 at 46% ABV in a presentaiton box. Arran The Devil s Punch Bowl III The third and final release of this sought after Arran bottling. At 53,4% ABV.

4 7 Balvenie 30yo A classic Balvenie, bottled at 47.3% ABV. 8 Beam Pin A unique Jim Beam bottling, this is a 6yo, bottled at 43% ABV. 9 Bowmore 17yo An older Bowmore, bottled in 2004 at 43% ABV. 10 Bowmore 10yo The Devil s Cask Small Batch Release II A limited release in first fill sherry casks, bottled at 56.3% ABV.

5 11 Caol Ila 15yo Flora & Fauna Bottled at 43% ABV, this expression was discontinued in Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye Jim Murray s top pick in his 2016 Whisky Bible, with 90% rye in the mash bill. Still in the sealed box. Diageo Islay Collection A set of 5 x 200ml: Caol Ila 12yo; Caol Ila 18yo; Lagavulin 16yo; Lagavulin 12yo CS and Port Ellen Release 7 14 Glen Ord 30yo A limited edition bottled in 2005 at cask strength. 58.7% ABV.

6 15 16 Glenallachie 35yo A rare expression from this distillery, in first fill sherry casks. Bottled in 2010 at 46.9% ABV. This single malt seldom appears as a distillery bottling, but features in Chivas blends. Glenglasssaugh yo A sherry butt single cask, bottled in 2014 exclusively for Whisky Live Tokyo. Bottle number 193 of 621, at 43.9% ABV Glenglassaugh Rare Cask Series 3 x 200ml set in a presentation box: 26yo at 46%; 37yo at 54.8% and 43yo at 48.7%. Glenlivet 25yo The Jubilee reserve, distilled in 1952 and bottled in Housed in a wood and velvet box, this is number 139 of the range.

7 19 Glenlochie yo Botled by Signatory, and matured in Hogshead cask no No 91 of 224 bottles, and at 55.9% ABV. Glenrothes 1979 Bottled in February 2002, at 43% ABV Hakushu Twin Pack Bottled for The Whisky Shop, this is a set of 2 x 300ml: WSO 006 bottled in 2014, and WSO 008 bottled in Heartwood The Good Convict Port cask, bottled at 71.3%ABV. Distilled in Nov 2000, bottled in June Thjis is a 500ml bottle, and number 40 of 100.

8 23 Hibiki 21yo Mt Fuji Edition A limited edition Hibiki in a wooden box. 24 Karuizawa 8yo An expression from the early 1990s released by this iconic Japanese distillery. 25 Karuizawa 10yo An expression from the early 1990s released by this iconic Japanese distillery.

9 26 Lagavulin Distillers Edition 1988 Bottled in 2004, this expression has been finished in PX sherry casks. 27 Lagavulin 25yo Bottle number 7,748 of 9,000. Bottled in 2002 at cask strength, 57.2% ABV. 28 Laphroaig 1960 A very rare bottle. As a 40yo, this is the oldest official bottling of Laphroaig. Only 300 bottles were produced, at cask strength. This bottle no. 242, at 42.4% ABV.

10 29 Linlithgow yo This is a cask strength release from 2004 of this closed Lowland distillery. Bottled at 59.6% ABV. 30 Littlemill 21yo A distillery bottling from the closed Lowland dsitillery, in a ceramic bottle with a wooden presentation box. 46% ABV. 31 Macallan 18yo 1982 Matured in sherry casks, bottled at 43%. A bit of rust on the lid.

11 32 Macallan 18yo 1986 Matured in sherry casks, bottled at 43%. A bit of rust on the lid Macallan Royal Marriage 1948/1961 This highly collectable bottle was produced in 1981 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Charles to Lady Diana. It is a vatting of two casks, one from each of the years of their births. The original velvet pouch is included. Macallan 1938 A very rare bottle of this vintage Macallan, in its original wooden box. Level quite low in the neck.

12 35 Macallan 25yo Anniversary Edition 700ml, bottled at 43% ABV. Good condition in its original wooden box, level high in the neck. 36 Macallan Master of Photography Albert Watson Edition a 20yo sherry matured expression issued in Only 1,000 bottles produced. 37 Macallan yo Maverick Bottled by Murray McDavid at 46% ABV. Matured in ex bourbon casks and finished in port wood casks.

13 38 Nant Sherry Cask No. 1 A 500ml bottle, number 178, from the very first Nant sherry cassk. bottled at 43% ABV. Nikka Cask Strength A 500ml bottle, at 55.1% ABV. No box included Nikka Takesturu 25yo Pure Malt The flagship of the Taketsuru range, in a wooden box. Bottled at 43% ABV.

14 41 Overeem Bourbon Cask Release 1 Cask Strength Their first bourbon cask release, bottle number 71 of 111, at 60% ABV. 42 Port Ellen Release 8 Bottled in 2008, this is a 29yo expression, at 55.3% ABV. One of just 6,6128 produced. 43 Sullivan s Cove Port Cask Strength Barrel HH0554, distilled in 2000 and bottled in Number 175 of 411, at 60% ABV.

15 44 Sullivan s Cove French Oak Barrel HH0513. Distilled in 2000 and bottled in Number 454 of 524, at 47.5% ABV Sullivan s Cove American Oak Cask Strength Barrel HH0015, distilled in 1999 and bottled in Number 11 of 24 produced, at 69.6% ABV. Suntory Pure Malt 10yo A hard to find bottling from Suntory, bottled at 43% ABV.

16 47 Suntory Watami 12yo President s Choice This expression from the Yamazaki distillery has been bottled for the Watami chain of restaurants. It is 660ml, bottled at 43% ABV Talisker 25yo Signed by the the former world number 1 golfer Adam Scott. It includes the official program and signed bottle. 45.8% ABV. Talisker Tactical 25yo OMC Distilled in 1977, and bottled at 50% ABV. Bottled by Douglasd Laing in their Old Mask Cask series. 50 Talisker yo Maritime Edition Bottled in 2013, this limited release of 3,000 bottles has been matured in refill American oak casks, and bottled at 56.1% ABV.

17 51 Thomas Handy Sazerac Rye % This release was World Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible Yamazaki 18yo Limited Edition A limited release in a wooden box, at 43% ABV. 53 Yamazaki 25yo Matured exclusively in sherry casks for the entire 25 years, bottled at 43% ABV.

18 54 Yamazaki 25yo Limited Edition Only about 100 of these exclusive sets were made. Using traditional Washi paper, depicting the bamboo forests of Yamazaki, and coming in a Paulownia wood case, this bottle is sealed with a five cord Mizuhiki.
