2 Wine LisT 2017 Our carefully prepared wine list features the different countries of the world and the individual grape varieties that are true expressions of the wide range of flavours now available. All are fantastic with food and are made by some of the world s finest winemakers. Bubbly prosecco valdobbiadene Bortolotti This is a premium sparkling Prosecco, easy to drink and elegant with floral aromas of hedgerow blossoms and white fruits, fresh and lively with a creamy persistent mousse. Lenoble Brut nv This is an elegant Champagne with a dominance of Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs providing soft nutty flavour with fine bubbles and a fruity nose. It is fresh, light, lively and well balanced on the palate with a long satisfying flavour. Lenoble grand Cru Blanc de Blancs nv Golden colour with the greenish tints so typical of a Blanc de Blancs, with extremely fine bubbles and delicate foam. On the nose the first impression is floral, followed by rich aromas of white fruit. Buttery and round on the palate, with a very long lasting finish. Pink Bubbly Lenoble Brut Rosé A R Lenoble is a small family owned house run by Anne Malassagne. Quality is impressive and this rosé is made using Grand Cru Chardonnay selected from their special vineyard in the village of Chouilly and Premier Cru Pinot Noir from Bisseuil. Delicate salmon-pink colour with fine bubbles, a light sparkling foam and a fruity nose with scents of red fruits. Elegant, rounded, light, well balanced on the palate. Billecart salmon Rosé nv Pale salmon pink in colour, with a shade of gold. The nose shows hints of fresh pear and soft red fruits, followed by delicate fruit on the palate. Elegant with great finesse 2

3 White Wines new Zealand sauvignon Blanc Wairau River, Marlborough A quintessential aromatic grassy, gooseberry Marlborough wine. They established the region s vineyards in the late 70s, planted on silty, stony Wairau riverbed soils. An acclaimed Sauvignon, winning Gold at the Air NZ awards. A classic expression of the dry, gooseberry, grass and passion fruit style that has made Marlborough world-famous. France sancerre Domaine Neveu, Loire valley The Sauvignon Blanc grape excels in this rich, limestone soil, giving a crisp edge to the wine`s natural richness. This single vineyard Sancerre has the added complexity of mineral and herbaceous flavours on the palate. Well balanced and round in the mouth, the immense long flavour of gooseberries and limes lingers on the finish. France Chablis Domaine gautheron, Chablis 2015 A very traditional Chablis, it has fresh, floral aromas, appely fruit and complex, rich mineral character. Fermentation and maturation is very traditional avoiding wood to preserve the fresh steely flavours and subtle influence of the chalky vineyard soils Chile sauvignon Blanc Los Caminos, Colchagua Valley This is a vibrant aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a floral bouquet of nettle, grass and grapefruit balanced by citrus, gooseberry, passionfruit and pleasant acidity. France pouilly Blanc fume `Les Duchesses` Domaine Laporte, Loire This classic Sauvignon Blanc has classic smoke, lime and mineral influence reflective of the region`s flinty soils. It is elegant and well balanced with kiwi and gooseberry flavours and delicious zesty lime finish. new Zealand pinot gris Wairau River Wines, Marlborough Succulent ripe pear on the nose, with melon, apple and white peach flavours. A lingering finish complements the exotic spice and fleshy character, with well-integrated acidity. italy pinot grigio portenova, veneto 2016 This is a typical Pinot Grigio from northeast Italy with a brilliant straw yellow colour, elegant perfume of acacia flowers, almonds and dried fruit. A soft, well-balanced palate combines citrus, exotic fruit and fresh apples. Elegant and dry Italy gavi Cortese Tenuta neirano The aroma is perfumed with honeysuckle and almond and the palate is beautifully balanced, finishing with a distinct bittersweet sensation. 3

4 Red Wines Italy primitivo di salento Doppio passo 2015/ A fresh and aromatic red with amazing concentration of plum, blackberry and chocolate flavours backed by naturally light and soft tannins and light acidity. Spain Rioja Crianza Edicion Limitada Ramon Bilbao 2013 Made from old Tempranillo vines, this oak fermented Rioja has red berry, plum and cherry aromas that are followed by smoked notes on the palate, with well structured tannins and a balanced finish france Château la Rose saint-georges, st-georges st emilion, Bordeaux Rich and rounded Merlot fruit that shows perfumed aromas and velvety ripe plummy character on the palate, supported by soft harmonious tannins and a seductive lingering finish. France Malbec Potager du Sud A bold and flavourful wine with pervasive aromas of blackberry and mulberry combined with hints of green pepper. It is full flavoured and well structured, juicy black fruits on the palate are backed by fine yet soft tannins. Australia Rampant Red shiraz Cabernet Merlot, hamelin Bay Brilliant clarity with medium intensity with a cherry red centre and pink purple hue. Aromas of dusty mint and earth harmoniously meld with cherry, plum and berry fruits to afford a complex bouquet. The palate is round and of medium weight, with fine tannins. new Zealand pinot noir Black Label Wairau River Reserve Dark fruits with savoury richness and toasty French oak aroma. The complexity of the nose continues through the palate revealing generous fruit weight and mocha nuances delivered with a refined texture and a persistent finish. Spain Rioja Reserva Ramon Bilbao 2011 Carefully selected from the vineyards in the Rioja Alta, with 20 months of ageing in American oak casks as well as further ageing in the cellar, this wine displays deep cherry red colours, with aromas of blackberries, cedar, leather and spices Argentina pinot noir Alpataco familia schroeder 2015/ Perfumed aromas with notes of black cherry, redcurrant, summer fruit all beautifully balanced. Fine notes of vanilla and cocoa powder. Chile Cabernet sauvignon Los Caminos, Colchagua valley Well structured and rich with blackcurrant and cherry fruit. It is produced in the cool climate of Colchagua Valley, considered one of Chile`s best regions for Cabernet. The palate is ripe with cassis and plum flavours backed by soft, rounded tannins. 4

5 Rosé Wines Spain Rioja Rosé Ramon Bilbao, Rioja 2016 A clear salmon and rose-wood pink colour with hints of fresh fruit and lemon aromas mingled with recently cut white flowers and cherries. On the palate, this delicate rose has a light sensation with a fresh mouthfeel, silky finish with reminiscences of sour cherries and a long fruity finish France Coteaux d Aix en provence Rose essenciel 2015/16 Paradis is a traditional dry Provencal rose made by the saignee method of bleeding the juice from the skins to preserve delicacy & character. The wine is well balanced with red fruit flavours and a fresh acidity. Round in the mouth with a long and fruit France Sancerre Rosé Domaine Crochet, Loire valley The seven hectare Crochet estate includes two hectares of Pinot Noir, mostly planted on the limestone slopes of the prime village of Bué. This produces a pale salmon pink rosé, fresh with a delicate perfumed bouquet. The palate is well rounded with exceptional poise and a long finish. Dessert Wines south Africa Red Muscadel Rietvallei estate, Robertson cl: Many of the bush vines are over 80 years old and yield tiny but intensely flavoured berries that create a superb fragrant dessert wine. The bouquet is enticing with a perfumed Muscat aroma, which follows on the palate with complex raisiny sweetness and rose petal fragrance. The acidity complements the wine and makes it easy to enjoy this intensely sweet and aromatic wine. Chile Late harvest sauvignon La playa, Colchagua valley 2015 ½ bottle: Medium intensity bright yellow colour. Aromas of ripe citrus, melon, honey, quince, nutmeg and butterscotch. Sweet in mouth, yet well balanced with lingering fresh acidity 5
