Pongrácz Brut This is a timeless Cap Classique with great elegance and complexity. Delicate yeasty tones, layered with toast and ripe fruit which are enlivened by a firm mousse and persistent bead that makes it particularly attractive. It imparts a wonderful foamy mouthful of black fruit flavours with a long lingering aftertaste. Pongrácz Rosé It is a timeless and elegant Cap Classique composed in the classic French style of the noble varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This enticing Rosé enthrals with a wonderful foamy mouthful of black berry fruit flavours and delicate yeasty tones that linger long on the palate. Champagne All champagnes are sparkling wines, but only sparkling wines made in the region of France known as Champagne can be labelled as Champagne. Moët & Chandon NV Its aromas are radiant, revealing bright white-fleshed fruits, citrus fruits, floral nuances and elegant blonde notes. The palate is seductive, richly flavourful and smooth, combining generosity and elegance, fullness and finesse, followed by a delicately fresh crispiness to reveal the magical balance of champagne. Dom Perignon Blanc Aromas of almonds and powdered cocoa develop gradually into white fruit with hints of dry flowers. Classic toasted notes give a rounded finish and denote a fully realized maturity.

JC Le Roux Le Domaine This bright, green-yellow sparkling wine has a bubbling muscat aroma supported by cheerful fruit flavours on the nose. JC Le Roux La Fleurette This is a lively, salmon pink sparkling wine that entices all the senses. The Chocolate Block This vintage shows massive floral perfume with underlying redcurrant, cedar, black pepper, coriander spice and hints of Turkish delight. The macerated red fruit carries through onto a palate layered with marzipan, minerals and a superb velvety structure. Meerlust Merlot A typical Merlot nose with juicy plum and mulberry fruit, lifted spiciness and hints of dark chocolate and graphite. The palate offers generous, ripe, pure Merlot fruit with refreshing acidity, structured yet silky tannins and pronounced length and minerality.

5 Red wine Cabernet Sauvignon One of the most remarkable things of Cabernet Sauvignon is how much it tastes like Cabernet anywhere it is grown. Enjoy with your favourite steak and all tannins will disappear as it bonds with the protein in your meat. Alexanderfontein Cabernet Sauvignon This wine has an extreme bouquet of cherry, pepper and blueberries, reflecting the cool climate of Darling. Waverley Hills Organic Cabernet Sauvignon This organic wine has a ruby red edge with a bright red centre. On the nose vanilla, red berries, spices, honey and spring flowers come through strongly. Pinotage Eighty-four years ago, in 1925, Abraham Izak Perold planted hybrid seeds resulting from a crossing of Pinot Noir and Hermitage grapes in his garden at Welgevallen in Stellenbosch, little knowing that this would for ever be part of South Africa s wine history, eventually growing to become our unique selling point around the world. Excellent with game, curries, spare ribs and pepper steaks. Kleine Zalze Pinotage The wine shows a deep red colour with intense plum, violets, mulberry and black fruit flavours. Maturation in the French oak barrels adds a soft complexity with well integrated firm tannins. Barista Coffee Pinotage Intense on the nose, with a bouquet of coffee, chocolate and cherry, with meaty, savoury hints. The tannins are ripe, perfectly suiting the round and mouth-filling plum and mulberry fruit.

6 Red wine Merlot A hedonist s grape, with soft fruit that ranges from red cherries to purple plums, and gentle tannins. It s often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon to give it more structure. When aged in oak barrels the oak s vanilla-spice notes send the already friendly wine right into the world of seriously decadent drinks. Enjoy with roast lamb and duck. Alexanderfontein Merlot Red berry aromas, with strawberry being prominent, greets the nose. Herbal notes with hints of oak and vanilla. Asara Merlot Fresh red berries and juicy ripe plums show on the nose. A fruit-sweet entry of fresh red berries and lingering dark plum. Smooth, balanced and elegant. Shiraz Shiraz, alias Syrah, the wine for red wine lovers. These are bold wines with good fruit and tannins. Its inherent spicy flavour is surrounded by a combination of red and black summer berries, then laced with seductive smoky tones such as leather, often with that subtle hint of garrigue as the French would say, but we prefer fynbos. Enjoy with roast chicken, casseroles, venison and beef ribs. Brampton Shiraz A delicately balanced wine with an attractive spectrum of flavours from the first rich impressions of black cherries and ripe plums brushed by alluring floral notes to the overt supporting wood spice that develops on the aftertaste enhancing the primary fruit intensity. Fairview Shiraz Plummy fruit on the nose with a hint of sweet raspberry and red fruit. The palate reveals further red fruit flavours with a touch of white pepper and a rich mouth feel with well integrated tannins.

7 Red wine Blends The principle of any blend is that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. South Africa is increasingly moving towards the red blend in order to produce excellent wines. This is a good idea, since they can make distinctive South African wines that are unavailable anywhere else in the world. Asara Cape Fusion A Cape blend with dark fruit and roasted coffee aromas. It is elegantly structured with upfront plum and aniseed on the palate. Rupert Rothschild Classique A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Young and vibrant with raspberry aromas, blueberry flavours, roasted pine nuts and a dark chocolate aftertaste. 8 White wine Sauvignon Blanc The name Sauvignon derives from savage, meaning wild, which could describe its grassy, gooseberry flavours. Mulderbosch Steen op Hout The style is rich, with good mid-palate weight, ripe fruit flavours yet not forsaking freshness and mineral elements.

9 White wine Chardonnay This seductive, endlessly charming Chardonnay has invaded vineyards all around the world. The flavours are often bold and expansive and range from light peach, pineapple, melon and limes in the unwooded style to ripe summer fruits, nuts, butterscotch, vanilla and fresh toast in the barrel mature wooded styles. Van Loveren Chardonnay A dry, well balanced wine with clean citrus and light smokey, nutty tones on the palate. Zonneblom Chardonnay An abundance of lime and citrus fruit flavours complemented by smooth vanilla wood spice and a well-balanced, lingering aftertaste.

10 Semi sweet Wine drinkers with a sweet tooth will usually prefer the sweeter varieties. These are often late harvest wines, whose grapes are picked when sugars have had more time to collect and develop a sweeter taste. Weltevrede Ouma se wyn Rich aromas of ripe cherries and raisins on the nose and on the palate with a hint of dates on the finish. Fortified and full sweet. Allesverloren Port Richly textured and creamy with aromas of honey, chocolate, leather and a velvety-soft and mouth-filling palate of almonds and walnuts that linger on the aftertaste. Sherry Sherry can be done dry or caramel sweet but originally it all comes from the same general area, the region surrounding the town of Jerez de la Frontera on the South West coast of Spain. In South Africa, sherry was started by Roberto Monis in 1906 in his wine cellar in Paarl. This excellent range of Monis sherries are very elegant and are best enjoyed chilled. Monis Fino Dry This classic style dry sherry holds elegant nutty aromas and aromatic flavours. Monis Medium Cream Bright, pale, natural gold in colour, the sherry holds butterscotch and pine needles on the nose. Long, silky flow across the palate with rich rather than sweet, fine raisins, citrus and Christmas pudding flavours ending in a long finish. Monis Full cream This full cream sherry holds sweet vanilla flavours with nuts and honey.
