The palate is mineral in character with buttery vanilla notes which blend elegantly with flavors of tropical and citrus fruit. $74 Duckhorn Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2015 Wine Spectator: 90 Exotic aromas of passion fruit, papaya, ginger and star fruit leap from the glass, along with layers of grapefruit and melon. On the palate, a lovely silkiness provides delicate weight to this wine, while crisp, refreshing acidity and vibrant citrus flavors draw the wine to a lingering finish with notes of Meyer lemon and Kaffir lime. $66 Ken Forrester Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2015 (South Africa) This wine shows lovely complexity with mix of tangy grassy notes, fig leaf, and peach and nectarine nuances. The structure and acidity balance one another and the finish and aftertaste are lively and persistent. $53 Hugl Weine Gruner Vetliner 2015 (Austria) This is an intense and concentrated wine offering pleasant citrus and grapefruit aromas, exotic tropical fruits with a hint of freshly ground white pepper.
