A little spice and subtle oak characters Passing Clouds The fools on the hill Pinot Noir, Macedon Ranges VIC % estate fruit, 2013 once again allowed us to achieve optimal ripeness and particularly good balance. It was matured in 70% new oak, which has lifted the inherent cherry and red fruit characters as well as contributing to the spicy complexity. The palate displays superb balance with length and fine tannins Kay Brothers Amery Basket Pressed Merlot, McLaren Vale, SA 70 Black cherry in colour. A nose of briary fruits, gum leaf and blackberry flavours upfront with a slight dusty character. The palate is tight and structured with black olives, tobacco, blackberry and boysenberry Gapsted Ballerina Canopy Merlot, King Valley, VIC 55 This merlot displays abundant sweet ripe currant fruitcake aromas, underpinned with complex truffle characters and rich chocolate toasty oak. The silky smooth palate shows juicy, rich berry fruit supported by velvety fine-grained tannins Zonte s Footstep Violet Beauregard Malbec, Clare Valley, SA 55 Blueberry colour, blueberry aroma - together with classic Malbec mulberry, wild cherries and wafts of violets. The palate is generous and well structured La Atalaya D.O.P Red wine, Almanasa, SPN 65 (Granacha Tintorea 85% / Monastrell 15%) This wine has great structure, intense red colour with violet tones and a powerful nose. Essences of cherries and black plums are accompanied by a touch of white pepper. The very long and well-balanced taste culminates the tasting of this great wine.
