The nose suggests blanched almonds, white flowers and pear skin; the palate is soft and clean with apple and quince fruit flavours with a naturally off-dry finish. A very pleasant aperitif, it would be perfect with antipasti and desserts alike. CHAMPAGNE JEAN-PAUL DEVILLE CARTE NOIR BRUT 65 Better the Deville you know If Churchill had tasted this, Pol Roger would be a champagne of the past! Mischievously rich, with a toasted biscuity edge. A Champagne to make Hemmingway drool! Quality and premier division fruit, good balance and mineral nuances alongside red berry notes and citrus flavours. Dry and refreshing. SPARKLING DE LÉOUBE 65 The Sparkling de Léoube has a beautiful, pale rose colour. Instead of soft strawberries and cream like as Daylesford s pink wine there is a moreish, yeasty, apple skin flavour. A characteristic saline note makes an appearance at the end, adding a bit of quirky interest. CHAMPAGNE KRUSADOR KASIMIR Assembling 30% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Black and 35% Meunier, Krusador Kasimir is a festive and elegant Champagne.

Extremely attractive and well balanced, this is an invigorating wine with a fresh finish. This year again, it is very clean, dry and crisp. It has a refreshing juicy strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours combined with other exotic fruits. SECRET DE LÉOUBE, CÔTES DE PROVENCE ROSÉ, S. FRANCE. 12.5%

3 This salmon-hued rosé is well balanced and has an intense nose of grapefruit and minerality. Crafted primarily from Grenache and Cinsault, lending red fruit charm and herbal freshness, and also from old vines Cabernet Sauvignon adding warmth and spicy depth. Complexity and joyful exuberance are therefore happily entwined. WHITE BERGERIE DE LA BASTIDE BLANC, LANGUEDOC, FRANCE. 12% 19 Value for money is all we hear from the supermarkets these days Well this little number is fantastic value! A blend of Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and a hint of Chardonnay gives this wine a delicate mouthful of dried herbs, white flowers and hint of citrus. Light yellow in appearance with a clean fruity nose with hints of dried fruits. CASA MARIA VERDEJO BLANCO, CASTILLA Y LEÓN This white is steely pale-yellow colour and delicately fragrant with hints of green apple and fennel. With a smooth palate, fresh and dry, and a lingering finish, this white is perfect for cooling off on a warm Peli day. SAUVIGNON DE TOURAINE, FRANCE Domaine du Fraisse produces a consistently classic and lively Sauvignon Blanc which is thoroughly deserving of its spot as a great example of an herbaceous and zesty Touraine Sauvignon. COTES DU TARN MAUZAC SAUVIGNON 22 Made in the excellent value Tarn region of southern France, this blend successfully captures the depth of flavour of the Mauzac grape variety with the complex aromas only Sauvignon Blanc can offer. A clean, fresh, savoury red with flavours of mellow cranberries, red cherries accompanied by hints of cassis and vanilla. CHÂTEAU DEVILLE CABERNET/MERLOT, CÔTES DE BORDEAUX, FRANCE. 12.5%, Light, full of flavour and character, Cabernet and Merlot with a hint of stalkyness on the nose and palate. A beautifully rounded, soft and approachable claret perfect lunchtime drinking! CASA AZUL PINOT NOIR, RAPEL VALLEY, CHILE. 14%, Chile at the Peligoni, never! Always balmy here. A brand new wine for us, for something lighter and tastes like a classic burgundy, but doesn t command the price of a Burgundian Pinot. Juice and earthy with great length. 100% Pinot Noir. BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES, DOMAINE DE LA PLAIGNE, GILLES & CÉCILE ROUX, BEAUJOLAIS, FRANCE. 12%, Gilles and Cécile Roux harvest by hand with a strict selection, ensuring wines of concentration. This Beaujolais- Villages has very good colour and avoids the boiled sweets clichés being vivid crimson with blackberry and cherry fruit. Plenty of wine here to tackle a steak, but best with fish such as pike and salmon with a sorrel sauce. TOURAINE GAMAY, HENRY MARIONNET, LOIRE, FRANCE. 13%, If you don t like Gamay, you ll love this! A style that has restless bouncing energy, with it s vibrant red cherry, blueberries and real juiciness. With a silky smooth finish, if you are looking for something light and refreshing, chuck it in the fridge on a hot summer s day!
