1 Ruan Orchid Wine List Selection By The Glass Universally known as Mr Beaujolais, Georges Duboeuf has, over the past three decades, done more than anybody else to put Beaujolais firmly on the world map. Georges Duboeuf is a highly skilled wine maker, whose Cuvées all meet the highest standards. Certainly we are listing one of the most consistently good Table Wine available today. Large Glass (175ml) Bottle A. Le Bouquet Blanc de Duboeuf France Crisp, dry wine with good fruits and a refreshing finish. B. Le Bouquet Rouge de Duboeuf France Fruity red wine with soft tannins. Very easy to drink. White by the glass 15. Sauvignon Blanc 4.40 Bodega Norton, Argentina Made in high altitude, at 1000 metres above sea level it retains the freshness of the Sauvignon, yet with a lot of fruit and concentration typical of a new world wine. 1. Chardonnay Mon Roc 4.20 Vin de Pays d Oc, France Ripe Chardonnay flavours with a good intensity followed by a soft, medium dry finish. 9. Pinot Grigio Terre del Noce 4.70 Dolomiti, Italy Dry, crisp white wine with clean, light aromatic fruits. Rosé by the glass 24. Domaine Coste Rosé 4.50 Vin de Pays des Côtes de Tongue, Southern France Light and delicate with soft crushed strawberry fruit. Red by the glass 36. Muscadet Sur Lie Carte d Or (1) Sèvre et Maine, Sauvion et Fils, Loire Valley Good example of quality Muscadet aged Sur Lie, with good flavours well balanced by a clean, refreshing acidity. 3. Mâcon Villages Charnay (2) Selection Georges Duboeuf, Burgundy Made in the village of Charnay, it has elegant flavours with a good finish. 4. Sancerre (1) Domaine Cherrier, Loire Valley Ripe and pungent with complex fruit flavours of gooseberry and herbs. 5. Montagny 1er Cru Sur le Cloux (2) Domaine A. Roy, Burgundy Clean flavours of the Chardonnay grape with hints of toasted oak. 6. Chablis 1er Cru Vau Ligneau (1) Thierry Hamelin, Burgundy High quality 1er Cru, full of fruits with flinty overtones and a refreshing finish. 7. Gewürztraminer Signature (4) Selection R. Muré, Côtes de Rouffach, Alsace Full Flavoured wine with lychee and white pepper aromas and a dry but very soft and rounded finish. Spain 8. Chardonnay Gran Feudo (2) Bodega Chivite, Navarra Ripe, clean flavours of the Chardonnay grape with a good intensity. Rounded, yet refreshing finish. Italy 9. Pinot Grigio Terre del Noce (1) Dolomiti, Italy Dry, crisp white wine with clean, light aromatic fruits. 10. Organic Cataratto Montalto (3) Sicilia IGT Warm climate fruit giving ripe flavours of melon and peach. Medium dry finish. 11. Gavi di Gavi La Meirana (2) Bruno Broglia, Gavi A crisp, clean wine that exhibits almond flavours characteristic of Gavi. Germany 12. Piesporter Michelsberg (*) Mosel A meduim sweet style with delicate peach, lime and mineral fruits and fresh apple acidity.

Dry Riesling Château Ste Michelle (2) Columbia Valley, Washington State A dry, crisp, refreshing style of Riesling with beautiful forward fruit flavours - white peach and mandarin - and a clean finish. Argentina 14. Sauvignon Blanc / Chenin Vista Flores (2) Bodega Norton, Mendoza Crisp citrus fruits with refreshing flavours of grapefruit and lemon. 15. South Africa 18. Chenin Blanc Kanu (2) Stellenbosch Apple and melon flavours with a nice ripe finish. Australia 19. Semillon / Chardonnay Whistling Duck (2) Good concentrated flavours of citrus and tropical fruits with buttery notes and a fresh finish. 20. Chardonnay Eden Valley (2) Yalumba Brilliant value for money, a well balanced wine with subtle tropical fruits and toasted oak on the finish. 21. Viognier Y Series (3) Yalumba Estate Rich and long palate with citrus, apricot and tropical fruit flavours. This wine exhibits the typical Viognier texture; silky, rich and luscious. New Zealand 22. Sauvignon Blanc Matakana Estate (2-3) Malborough Tangy, zesty Sauvignon with hints of tropical fruit flavours with a fresh citrus finish. Restrained and fresh on its own, but shines when drank with food.

Tempranillo Rosato Candidato (1-2) Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain With masses of summer berry fruit, this light, easy-drinking dry rosé offers a smooth texture and a long, refreshing finish. 24. Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé (2-3) Santa Rita, Good concentration of flavours. Very refreshing with hints of sweetness. 26. Monsoon Valley Shiraz (2) Siam Winery, Hua Hin, Thailand Light bodied with hints of red fruits and plum. Crisp and fresh. France RED WINE 27. Côtes du Rhône (B) George Buboeuf Rich and soft with black fruit flavours and silky, juicy tannins. 28. Beaujolais Villages (A) Château Vierre (Selection Georges Duboeuf), Burgundy Fresh and lively with cherry and raspberry fruits. Light, elegant finish. 29. Morgon (Cru Beaujolais) Jean Descombes (B) Selection Georges Duboeuf, Burgundy Intense aromas and flavours of berry fruits with soft, juicy tannins. 30. Châteauneuf du Pape Haute Pierre Delas Frères, Rhône Valley Rich and well structured with sweet ripe fruits mixed with spices. Italy 31. Montepulciano d Abruzzo Itynera (B-C) Central Italy Soft supple fruits with juicy fleshy tannins. Vibrant rich and smooth with well integrated oak. 32. Sangiovese / Merlot Santa Cristina (D) Marchesi Antinori, Toscana IGT (Chianti) Well-structured, generous and soft on the palate, with lingering fruit notes on the finish. The addition of Merlot in the blend, grape variety not native from the Chianti region, does not allow this wine to carry the name Chianti Classico, Spain 33. Rioja Crianza Promesa (B-C) Familia Martinez Bujanda A classic style of Rioja, with strawberry and blackberry fruits, taking on vanilla and cocoa smoothness during 12 months ageing in oak barrels. 34. Rioja Reserva Conde de Valdemar (C) Bodega Valdemar Ripe and yet restrained on the palate with soft fruits and vanilla oak.

Shiraz / Cabernet (B-C) Sacred Hill Clean and lively with soft berry flavours, hints of spice and light toasted oak. 40. Shiraz Long Paddock (C) Redbank Estate, Victoria Elegant with ripe blackberry fruit, chocolate and pepper flavours with soft oak. New Zealand 41.
