Zuccardi Serie A Malbec 2015 A terrific value, this shows off malbec s varietal character with its intense aromas of violets and its bright cherry flavors. There is more than fruit here, there is some expression of the soil, with subtle nuances and more complexity, hints of aromatic herbs and lower in alcohol (13%). The profile of all the wines is very clean, precise, juicy with good acidity. This is a superb example of it, with even some chalky sensations in the texture. Great value too. Drink points The Wine Advocate 12/16 UPC # Zuccardi Serie A Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Clean, tangy and spicy with lively plum fruit and racy acidity; fresh and long. 88 points Tasting Panel 10/16 UPC # Zuccardi Serie A Torrontés 2016 This is still very young, and contrary to what most people think, I like (good) Torrontés after some time in bottle. They got very low yields because of some early frost, but it was a very different vintage than the one in Mendoza; here, it was a lot drier and healthier. This is sharp and balanced, with great freshness, bone dry and austere, elegant without overpowering aromas. There are aromas of pear and green apple, not as perfumed as many examples of the grape, a little closed, but should develop more floral notes with some time in the bottle. This should be superb with some more time in bottle; it opened up nicely with time in the glass. Drink points The Wine Advocate 12/16 Reflecting the general improvement in the quality of the Serie A range, this is one of the very few Zuccardi wines that comes from outside Mendoza. Vinified in Cafayate, it s a wonderfully fresh, lemon and limescented Torrontés with crunchy acidity points Tim Atkin UPC # Zuccardi Serie A Bonarda 2014/15 This Bonarda has a rich violet color, and exudes sensuous aromas of plum and blackberries. It is a vivacious wine, full of pure ripe fruit, yet soft in style with an attractive finish. It can be cellared for the next 5 years. UPC #

2 Zuccardi Q These are wines of the highest quality, made from the oldest vines, of up to 40 years of age, under supervision of a specialized viticultural team (that actually marks the individual vines destined for this line with a Q for Quality ). These wines see months in oak and are only made in vintages of exceptional quality. Zuccardi Q Chardonnay 2015 The 2015 Q Chardonnay fermented in concrete vats and well-seasoned 500-liter oak barrels (30%), from grapes mostly from Gualtallary and some from El Peral (roughly 20%), both in the department of Tupungato in the Uco Valley There is great purity and precision, a sharp Chardonnay with very little effect of the oak, just a spicy twist, a wine that incites you to drink with effervescent acidity that makes you salivate and cleanses your palate. ( ). 5/5 stars Restaurant Wine 07/17 89 points Int l Wine Report 06/17 87 points Wine Enthusiast 07/16 UPC # Zuccardi Q Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 A mental picture of Indian food popped in my head when I put my nose in the glass of the 2013 Q Cabernet Sauvignon because it smells of curry, nutmeg, flowers and nuts. This is a blend of grapes from Gualtallary and la Consulta, both in the Uco Valley. In reality is not all Cabernet, but the Cabernet is partly co-fermented with Malbec (perhaps the reason why it doesn t really feel like Cabernet). The palate is juicy and spicy with a mixture of earthy and sweet tannins and very good freshness. There is a notable absence of green notes because the region is warm and the grapes ripen fully. 90 points Wine Advocate 08/15 A refined and savory red, featuring notes of white pepper to the cherry and crushed red plum flavors. Lengthens out on the palate, with medium-grained tannins. Silky finish. Drink now through points, #53 Top 100 Wines of 2016 Wine Spectator 10/31/ There is good roundness in the palate with dusty, fine-grained tannins coming through as juicy and tasty, with a faint bitterness in the finish. There is a little more spiciness from the élevage in barrel here. Drink points The Wine Advocate 10/16 UPC # Zuccardi Q Malbec 2014 This is fresh with lots of white pepper and salt as well as pretty fruit. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a fruity finish. Lots of no wood (cement) treatment and 30% used barrel for 12 months of aging. Made from an equal blend of malbec from Paraje Altamira and Vista Flores. This is exciting. Blackberries, flowers, dark fruit and hints of walnut shell here follow through to a medium to full body, fine tannins and a juicy finish. This is tight and polished. Give it two or three years to soften, but it is already very pretty. Better than points, THE TOP 100 WINES OF THE ANDES 2017 James Suckling Combining fruit from Chacayes and Paraje Altamira, this impressive Malbec is all about fruit and freshness, rather than oak, with 30% whole bunches adding structure and appealing spice. Chalky, refreshing yet plush, with a hint of vanilla and bright, focused acidity points Tim Atkin 91 points The Wine Advocate 10/16 UPC # Zuccardi Q Tempranillo 2012 It is becoming more common to see excellent Tempranillo grown in Mendoza. Lithe and rich, this Q Tempranillo by Zuccardi shows earthy tones of forest floor, black cherry, anise, sweet tobacco and spicebox flavors. This is smooth and polished wine that would pair beautifully with a juicy burger. It is richly flavored, full bodied, lightly oaky, and firm and long on the finish, tasting of black tea, tobacco, cedar, black licorice, and plum. Can be aged further. Great value! Drink now. 92 points James Suckling Argentina Tasting Report points Tim Atkin Argentina Special Report The 2015 Emma Zuccardi Bonarda is now produced exclusively with grapes from Altamira fermented with 100% full clusters in concrete vats and without the wine touching any oak at all. It matured in concrete vats until bottling. This is really surprising, with a completely different character than most Bonardas have, a lot fresher and spicier. But if the nose is different, the palate is something else, it s more about the Altamira calcium carbonate soils than the variety. This has gained in complexity and depth, with a combination of chalk and citric, almost effervescent acidity. Amazing points The Wine Advocate 12/16 There is only one Emma these days, combining fruit from mostly Paraje Altamira with 25% from San Pablo. This is about as good as cool climate Bonarda gets, fermented in concrete with 100% whole bunches. Tangy, spicy and fresh with firmish tannins, refreshing acidity and blueberry sweetness points Tim Atkin UPC # Zuccardi Tito 2014 The 2014 Tito Zuccardi is now produced exclusively with grapes from the Paraje Altamira appellation, a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ancellotta and Caladoc from the Zuccardi estate vineyards. Most of the grapes are fermented together and the composition might change with the vintage, but the concept is that it will always be from Altamira, from the estate vineyards. It has very intense color and it also reflects the riper conditions of 2014, with more black fruit and also a rustic touch reminiscent of tree bark. The palate is round and juicy, with some dusty tannins. This is slimmer and with less oak than previous versions of Tito. 91 points The Wine Advocate 12/ Tito is an unusual red blend that combines Malbec with 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Ancellotta, fermented entirely with its stems. It s a complex, youthful cuvée with notes of clove spice, plum and cassis, underpinned by chalky freshness points Tim Atkin UPC # Zuccardi Concreto 2015 The second vintage of this unoaked, groundbreaking Malbec, the 2015 Concreto Malbec was produced with grapes from Paraje Altamira that fermented in cement vats with indigenous yeasts (a constant in Zuccardi nowadays) and matured in concrete vats--hence the name--until it was bottled in December Here they use grapes that only come from parts of their vineyards that have less than 20 centimeters of soil and the calcium carbonate content is the highest they have, as they want this to be pure expression of chalk. The nose is a little reticent, not explosive, a little backward, transmitting a sense of seriousness and harmony. But, the palate is electric, you really feel like you re licking the limestone-covered stones that you have in the vineyards. The nose comes back slowly after time in the glass, with a cocktail of flowers and wild herbs, what you smell when you walk the countryside, especially after it has rained. This is a noteworthy follow up to the groundbreaking first vintage of this wine, possibly with one extra degree of precision and clarity, ending with a dry, dusty sensation, avoiding sweetness at all cost. This is all texture and salinity. Maybe not for all, but I loved it. 94 points The Wine Advocate 12/16 Bright and fruity nose with blackberry and blueberry character. Very intense. Full body, delicate tannins and beautiful blood orange undertones. A more fruity expression of malbec. A wine made from calcareous parcels in Altamira fermented and aged in concrete vats. Zuccardi Zeta 2011 The 2011 Zeta is a blend of Malbec from La Consulta with around 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from Gualtallary fermented in cement. The style of this blend is classic, but quite ripe, with aromas of black fruit, generous spices, licorice and fennel and some texture of the wood tannins. Drink now points The Wine Advocate 04/14 This Malbec-led blend opens with grapy black-fruit aromas. The palate is saturated through and through, while intensely ripe flavors of blackberry, cassis and black plum finish long but not aggressive. This was previously a very traditional wine. However, the 2012 has seen a dramatic change. It used to be quite ripe and marked by new oak and now it s basically the opposite. Even in this warm vintage there is very good freshness (it has 14.5% alcohol) and only a small percentage of new oak is used with the rest kept in used barrels and cement vats. This might have extra complexity from the Cabernet that also adds backbone to the Malbec. 91 points The Wine Advocate 08/15 A solid Super Mendoza wine with firm, polished tannins and wonderful depth. Full and compressed with a long finish. I really appreciate the cool fruit and hints of spices and black pepper. A blend of mostly malbec with some cabernet sauvignon. From La Consulta and Tupungato. 96 points James Suckling Argentina Tasting Report A crisp, focused nose consisting of lemon peel, cedar, dried cheese, blackberry and cassis aromas is encouraging. This Malbec (with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon) is mouth-filling and tight, with firm tannins. Pointed salty flavors of black plum and berry fruits finish with integrated spice and cocoa notes. Drink now through 2024 the longer this sits, the less aggressive and choppy it ll be. 91 points Wine Enthusiast 12/16 UPC # Zuccardi José Zuccardi Uco Valley 2013 There is a new Malbec, the 2013 José Zuccardi, produced with grapes from different locations in the Valle de Uco that fermented in cement vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in a combination of cement vats and oak foudres. This is really the evolution of the old Zeta, the only wine that remains a blend of different places in the range, all from limestone-rich places...this was matured in foudre, so it has a rounder, more traditional style as an homage to José Alberto Zuccardi, father of Sebastián. The Cabernet seems to provide good freshness to the blend, and you clearly notice the chalky texture, the austere and dry sensation of the limestone tannins. It was bottled in May 2015 and they kept the wine for a while to make the transition of brands, as the vinification and blend was completely different. 93 points The Wine Advocate 12/16 Suave and finely textured, with an engaging minerality to the dark plum, red currant and dried blackberry flavors, supported by firm tannins and acidity. The savory finish has hints of pepper and plenty of cedary spice accents. Drink now through points Wine Spectator 12/17 Named after Sebastián Zuccardi s father, José, this is a first release under this label, marrying Malbec with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, both grown on limestone soils. Deeply coloured and showing more wood influence than most of the winery s reds, it s rich, structured and complex with notes of white pepper, blackberry and liquorice points Tim Atkin (no new oak): Medium ruby-red. Musky scents of currant, black raspberry, tobacco leaf, violet, licorice and fresh herbs. Juicy, intense and quite suave, with refreshing bright acidity framing and lifting the ripe, generous currant, blackberry, licorice, spice and herb flavors. Very sophisticated, pliant, dry-but-ripe wine with fine-grained, palate-saturating tannins and slowly mounting spicy persistence. This goes on and on in the mouth. Zuccardi has made a few changes to fine tune the wines from the heart of La Consulta - a zone where the ripening can change very quickly as its a lower and warmer zone than Altamira, for example. It comes from a vineyard planted in 1978 in a place called Viña Chacón, a parcel in the south of the Uco Valley in the San Carlos department where the grape bunches are shaded by a pruning method that works well in warmer places. This has a perfume of violets, aromatic herbs and the blue fruit (if I had to single out one fruit here it would be blueberry) that I m finding in so many of Zuccardi s wines. They used 30% whole clusters (which they believe provides freshness). Despite being ripe, powerful and concentrated, it s much more elegant and refined than the powerful wines most people associate with La Consulta. 93 points The Wine Advocate 08/15 UPC # Zuccardi Aluvional Malbec Altamira points The Wine Advocate 04/14 90 points Wine Spectator web 14 Zuccardi Aluvional Malbec Altamira 2012 The 2012 Aluvional Altamira is pure Malbec planted at 1,100 meters with big boulders and a high chalk content. It has a great sense of harmony, a little reticent and backward, but offers pure, delineated and intense aromas of crushed violets, blood orange and red berries with a strong earthy feeling running through. Sebastian is bringing a new determination to explore Argentina s many micro-climate and soils. Zuccardi Aluvional Malbec Gualta Tupungato Alto 2013 Full ruby-red. Musky aromas of blackberry, cassis, minerals, wild herbs and chocolatey oak. Broad, plush and seamless, yet with lovely inner-mouth lift and definition to the flavors of cassis, boysenberry, menthol, graphite and pungent herbs. The very long, palate-staining finish is still a bit youthfully harsh and in need of time but the middle palate already delivers serious sweetness. Outstanding potential here. 92+ points Vinous 07/17 This wine has notes of plums, dark cherries, but somehow the nose lacks the vibrancy of some of its siblings. It s all relative, of course, as there are plenty of violets and aromatic herbs here. As with all the wines, there is no trace of oak. The palate is juicy, with very fine tannins and ripe, supple fruit, and moderate acidity. Drink points Wine Advocate 08/15 A dark and smoky red, featuring dense flavors of currant, blackberry and dried cherry that are broad and firmly tannic. Offers blackberry and spice notes, with dark chocolate details on the tannic finish. Lengthens out nicely midpalate, showing sanguine and minerally notes on the vibrant finish. Drink now through points Wine Spectator web 2017 UPC # Zuccardi Finca Canal Uco 2012 The 2012 Finca Canal Uco is a Malbec from lime, sandy and stony calcareous soils in Altamira that has great fruit, with perfumed and exuberant notes of damsons and violets. The palate is medium to full-bodied (though riper than in the Piedra Infinita). It has glossy tannins and a faint liqueur note toward the finish, This is a great, hedonistic Malbec. Drink now points The Wine Advocate 04/14 Initially this is a touch jumpy and nervy smelling, but with airing it shows elegant blueberry, cassis and mineral notes that aren t just big and brawny. A flush, bold mouthfeel delivers on the promise of the bouquet, while ripe plum, blackberry, pepper, herb and saline flavors finish savory and dark, with chocolaty notes and ripped muscularity. Drink this staunch Malbec from 2017 through points, Editor s Choice Wine Enthusiast 10/15 A muscular red, with lots of power to the blackberry, dark plum and dark currant flavors, accented by notes of black olive and mocha. The richly spiced finish features dark chocolate and pepper. Sebastian is bringing a new determination to explore Argentina s many micro-climate and soils. Zuccardi Finca Los Membrillos La Consulta 2012 The 2012 Finca Los Membrillos the second vintage for this bottling is produced with grapes from a vineyard planted with quince trees (Membrillo), hence the name. The soils are calcareous rocks with a little bit of topsoil to keep some freshness and control the Cabernet tannins. The wine has the granular tannins of Cabernet, the only giveaway of the grapes used, as the sense of place seems to be more intense than the fruit. There is more ripeness in this This is a great expression of the calcareous soils through Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink points The Wine Advocate 04/14 A lightly charred, foresty nose includes aromas of blackberry, cassis, hard spices, licorice and leather. This is lively but balanced in terms of feel, with richness and raciness playing off each other. Flavors of baked black fruits, peppery spice and licorice finish dark, long and bright, with juicy acidity that will keep this healthy for years to come. Drink through points, Cellar Selection Wine Enthusiast 10/15 Yet another brilliant performance from a winery that continues to strive for the (Andean) heights and is reaching them with increasing consistency. 96 points Tim Atkin Argentina Special Report This boasts mouthfilling richness, with elegant and well-structured flavors of dried cherry, boysenberry and red currant. Luscious and creamy in the midpalate, with notes of sandalwood on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through points Wine Spectator web points The Wine Advocate 08/15 UPC # Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita 2012 The 2012 Finca Piedra Infinita is from new vineyards in Altamira, a specific zone within La Consulta in the south of the Uco Valley, selected from a very calcareous zone with lots of chalky stones. It is the most mineral and serious wine I ve tasted from Zuccardi, with big bones and a serious, balanced and subtle character that is elegant and sharp. The finish is long, vertical, vibrant and... well, mineral is the only word. Of course, this is a stylistic preference, but this is my favorite (and it also happened tasting the unoaked and unbottled 2013 blind). Around 2,500 bottles were produced as they really decide vine by vine which grapes go into this wine. A world class red. Bravo! Drink now points The Wine Advocate 04/14 This fruit-driven, minerally Malbec hails from the Altamira section of Mendoza s Uco Valley. Blueberry, cassis and stony aromas feed into a deep, pure palate with plenty to offer. Flavors of cassis, blackberry, peppercorn and exotic spices finish with moderate tannins and flavors of fig and black pepper. Drink through points Wine Enthusiast 07/15 This is filled with dark chocolate and dried blackberry flavors that offer a rich, creamy texture. Shows good cut to the bramble and mineral notes, with an effusively spicy finish. Drink now through points Wine Spectator 06/30/ A powerful and refined red, showing plenty of sanguine notes to the dark plum, cherry and dark currant flavors. Accents of dried beef emerge midpalate, with a long, minerally finish studded with white pepper hints.
