B.Sc., Hotel & Catering Management degree is awarded by University of Madras. A Dual Course Diploma in Catering Technology is added in the academic year 2008-2009. This is to enhance the job opportunity to students of other discipline. A Short Term craft course is conducted for Homemakers. Department Bakery meets the in house and sister concerns Bakery & Confectionary needs. Objectives To coach the students to acquire efficiency, knowledge and experience to work in Star Hotels & Similar Institutions. To coach the students to excel in the Field of Hospitality Industry To groom our students to the Industrial standard.

Curriculum & Eligibility B.Sc., Hotel & Catering Management is a UG course, students from any group in +2 or equivalent is eligible to join. Students can appear for all competitive examinations, which is eligible for a graduate. Course is taught under Semester Pattern. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS Pattern)is followed Industrial Exposure Training in star hotels for 4 Months during 4th semester in the course period French is an obligatory Subject. Students are Taught 51 papers during their study in which 35 Papers are Theory and16 Papers are Practical.
