Via Alta offers classic, well-executed, clean and simple Italian flavours. We handpick our suppliers and do extensive research to source the best produce that Australia has to offer Via Alta is owned and operated by Alessandro Pavoni of two-hat Ormeggio at The Spit, Bill Drakopoulos of Sydney Restaurant Group. Via Alta s Head Chef is Damiano Ottaviani. Via Alta is fully licensed and BYO (wine only). We would be pleased to assist with your wine selection from our wine list prior to the event to ensure stock is available. A $12 per bottle corkage applies should you choose to bring your own wines. Additional pre-arranged menu options Spiedo Bresciano: Spiedo Bresciano is a very traditional Brescian speciality, from the northern region of Lombardy in Italy. It is a slow spit roasted selection of chicken and pork, basted over 5 hours in butter, sage and red wine. It is served on share platters with a selection of sides of warm soft polenta with burnt butter, roasted potatoes with rosemary, and green mixed leaf salads. This creates a real feast atmosphere, and is delicious! This would replace the main course on your chosen menu for all guests and would incur an additional charge of $21 per person. Cake: If you would like us to make and serve a cake for you in house this can be arranged with at least 48 hours notice. Via Alta can provide the following cakes: Tiramisu Apple cake (classic Italian sponge cake with apple, served warm with either warm English custard or caramel sauce) Torta caprese (flourless chocolate cake) If your chosen menu includes a dessert course then you may order one of these cakes to substitute your dessert course for no additional charge. If you wish to order a cake in addition to your dessert course the price will be as follows: Small (5-6 people) = $45.5 Medium (7-10 people) = $65.5 Large (11-14 people) = $85.5 BYO cake is permitted with a cakeage charge of $5.5 per person, or $8.5 per person served with gelato, and we will cut and serve it for you. If your chosen menu includes a dessert course then BYO cake can substitute your dessert course for no additional charge.

Please contact us for more information. Please note that a deposit is required to secure the booking. General Information For parties of 12 plus guests we offer our popular sharing feast menus. For parties up to a maximum of 20 guests we also offer a reduced a la carte menu. For parties with 21 guests or over we offer sharing feast menus only. To confirm your booking and hold the table, date and time we require your credit card details as security and a completed booking form returned to us. First booking form in, first table confirmed. Management reserves the right to cancel any function if the booking form is not returned with credit card details provided. All final details, numbers, menus and beverages must be confirmed in writing 72 hours (for groups of 12-19) or 7 days (for groups of 20+) prior to the event. Dietary requirements must be provided 10 days prior to your function date. Menus outlined in this package are sample menus only. Prices shown include GST. An 8% service charge will be added to the final bill on the day of the event and is not included within the minimum spend requirement (if applicable). For exclusive or semi exclusive bookings a $1000 deposit required at the time of booking. Full prepayment is required at least 7 days prior to your booking. BYO wine is permitted - $12/bottle corkage applies. No BYO beer or spirits permitted, we have a fully licensed bar available. Via Alta enforces their policy of responsible service of alcohol and as such reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest according to their discretion.
