KEVIN HILL This month, we are spotlighting Mr. Kevin Hill. Kevin is the founder of Hill Geophysical Consulting, an internationally acclaimed seismic imaging and interpretation company begun in 1987 here in Shreveport. Kevin has worked on thousands of projects both in the US and abroad and he has published award-winning papers based on his work in various areas. Anyone that knows Kevin knows that he is passionate about wine. He is a national officer of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Burgundy Wine Society), and past leader of the local chapter. He has taken cooking classes at Le Cordon Bleu and the Culinary Institute of America. Because he has so much knowledge and experience in wine and food, he has been referenced in several wine and cheese books. He has a strong affection for cheese and loves to spread the curd as well. He has been instrumental in bringing world famous cheese guru Max McCalman to Shreveport and organized several wine and cheese events with him at the Petroleum Club. Every year, the Petroleum Club has the pleasure of working with Kevin on the annual Shreveport Geological Society Geology and Wine Dinner. He is currently planning a geology and wine dinner for the GCAGS in October. Kevin has been a member of the Petroleum Club for over 30 years. He says that he joined the club to have a place to come for a great lunch and to organize special events. He takes clients and friends to the club for the great food, great view and easy atmosphere. Kevin is always willing to share his food and wine knowledge, and we enjoy every opportunity we have to work with him. Thank you Kevin for being an excellent member!
