For example, if one corner measures 37 inches above the floor and the other corner is 37 1/4 inches above the floor, adjust the frame until both corners are 37 1/8 inches from the floor. 3. Use a pencil to lightly mark where the frame corners should be. Make sure the marks are not visible at eye level. 4. Use these pencil lines for guidance in the future when you need to restraighten the frame.

Answers 10. D 11. A 12. A 13. A 14. C 15. A 16. B 17. C 18. C 19. D 20. D 21. B 22. D 23. A 24. C 25. D 26. A 27. B 28. B Explanations 10. The second step of the directions instructs how to hold the second chopstick. It says that "the side of the chopstick should rest against the tip of your thumb." 11. The last step of the directions says to "keep the first chopstick stationary as you practice moving the second chopstick toward the stationary one." 12. The first step of the directions says to "hold one chopstick between your thumb and middle finger." 13. In the directions, find the step that says to place a chopstick between the thumb and forefinger. Then, look at the step immediately after this step to find the answer. Step 3 says, "Be sure the tips of the chopsticks are parallel." 14. In the directions, find the step that says "adjust the frame until the corners are equal distance from the floor." Then look at the step immediately before this step to find the answer. Step 1 says, "Use a tape measure to measure the distance between both bottom corners of the picture frame and the floor."

15. The last step of the directions says to "use these pencil lines for guidance in the future when you need to restraighten the frame." 16. The second step of the directions says to "adjust the frame until the corners are equal distance from the floor." 17. A signature is when you sign your name. 18. "Home phone" is a shortened way of saying "your phone number at home." 19. Italicized words are words that are slanted. The italicized words on this application reads: ***Disclosure of your Date of Birth is voluntary. A library card will be issued whether or not you provide it. "Voluntary" means that you can do something ONLY if you want to. In other words, you don't have to. The italicized words go on to say that "a library card will be issued whether or not you provide it." 20. Step 4 reads: At any point, the stop light may say "red light!" and turn around. If any of the kids are caught moving after this has occurred, they are out. 21. Step 1 reads: In this game, one person plays the "stop light" and the rest try to touch him/her. 22. Step 3 says: The stop light faces away from the line of kids and says "green light." At this point, the kids are allowed to move towards the stoplight. 23. The cooking instructions are located below the list of ingredients. The instructions list the tasks in the order in which they should be completed. 24. The last item on the ingredients list is "2 cups vegetable oil for frying." 25. Use the directions as a check list. As you go along, cross out each picture that does not fit the description. The first direction says "to plant a tree on the side of the school nearest the door." From this direction, you can cross out choice Y and Z. Choice Z has two bushes at the other end of the building, but X does not. Cross out X. To be sure of your answer, check answer choice Z with all of the directions. 26. Gate A is located on the west side of the stadium and is the closest gate to section 201. 27. Use the directions as a check list. As you go along, cross out each picture that does not fit the description. The first description says: 5 windows on the 2nd floor of the front of the house. Houses Y and Z have 3 windows on the 2nd floor of the front of the house, so you should cross them out. Both W and X have 3 windows on the 1st floor of the front of the house, so you can't cross either of them out. The third direction says: Door on the left side of the front of the house. The door is on the RIGHT side of the front of house W, so you can cross it out. The correct answer must be X.

28. Use the directions as a check list. As you go along, cross out each picture that does not fit the description. The first direction says "to plant a row of flowers on the side of the school nearest the door." You can cross out choices X, Y, and Z just from this first direction. Choice X has flowers on the side opposite of the door; also, the flowers are NOT in a row. Choices Y and Z have rows of flowers IN FRONT of the school, not the side like the directions say.
